Certain colors in certain lights make me feel queasy. There was a group of colors that was popular in the '70s--burnt orange, harvest gold, avocado, and brown--that still makes me feel tight in the throat, especially burnt orange.

Most of my clothes are black.

I don't wear a lot of bright colors, as they don't look that good on me, I look best in earth tones, in muted or darker shades. BUT I LOVE COLOR, including a lot of really bright colors. There's this shade of magenta that I can't see enough of, and I wish I could wear it successfully. I've thought of trying just one little scarf in that color, or some winter gloves, just to satisfy my love of it.

There are patterns and colors that I can't handle in my environment, though, and have even had migraines I thought were triggered by garish decor in rooms where I had to spend time, such as a classroom or seminar room.

Well, then you're in style. I've seen it a lot in stores. Congratulations. With cooler-toned colors, it looks quite nice.

If I could post pictures easily, I could show you some sickening examples of the misuse of color.

I like looking at bright colors, but they can really distract me when I'm trying to do something else. So I don't like do decorate my living quarters with overly colorful things. In fact, I prefer plain white or lightly-colored walls...

Solid orange is the only bright color I can appreciate.

Otherwise bright colors are kind of painful for me. I hate advertisements that heavily feature them

i find certain colours have negative effects on me. Cold colours like blue, grey or metallic colours make me depressed.

I can guess your favourite mobile phone company in that case.

The walls of my room are a butter yellow color which I picked out myself though I'm sure once I move out my parents will paint them white again like they did with my sister's bubble gum pink room. I don't usually wear bright colors and I wouldn't really say my walls are that bright though I don't look at them too much for any amount of time and the doors, trim and ceiling are still white so my room isn't all yellow. I usually wear blues and greens in middle tones or dark tones.

I hate cell phones. I have a cheapo pay-as you go thing. I don't remember the company off the top of my head orange was not involved.

I only carry a cell phone in case of emergencies.

I used to have a cell phone with a regular plan. When I dropped it, I had something like thirty hours of accumulated minutes. I tend to only use the cell phone a minute or two a week, on average.

Now I just buy a hour or so of minutes at a time and they expire after a few months. It's much less expensive than what I did have.

I don't really wear bright colours either. I do have a few bright colours in my closet but not too many. I guess for me I feel that it doesn't match my personality plus it makes me stand out more which I don't like.

I don't wear bright colors but I like them on other things. For tee shirts, mine are all either blue, green, gray or white. However, for other things, I like a little more color. Lime green is one of my all time favorites, especially when mixed with a really bright blue. In fact, I am planning a paint job for my ultimate pizza delivery car with those colors. It will be a color called "competition blue" that is stock on the 1989-94 Geo Metro mixed with all of the decals and lettering done in paint with Chrysler's "Sublime Green" from 1970 (part of their "high Impact" color palette that also included Go Mango, Tor-Red, Top Banana Yellow, Petty blue, etc.). I also have that green color in some of my more recent kitchen utensil purchases from IKEA. Now, I'm not going to paint my house in an eye searing shade of green or blue, but I certainly don't mind it too much on one of my more whimsical automotive creations. I actually like having cars that attract attention because I love nothing more than to talk people's ears off about them! :D

Do you have bright colors like reds yellows pinks ect in your room? Or wear brightly colored clothes?

I noticed that all of my clothes are mostly black and dark colors. I really don't like to wear bright colors because I just feel uncomfortable in them and dark colors somehow sooth me.

Bright colors hurt my eyes >_<

Does this have anything to do with sensory issues?

I have a lot of darker colours of clothes, but I did start making an effort to have more patterns and colours, although they are never garish. Bright colours hurt my eyes too. I mean colours like fluorescent or luminescent colours such as lime green, bright yellows and to a very slightly lesser degree fluorescent oranges and reds. I believe it is sensory issues, at least I class it as such in myself.
