The Hungarian pronunciation:

A (like 'u' in 'divulge') - SH - P - E (like 'e' in 'edible') - R - G (like 'g' in 'great') - E (like 'e' in 'edible') - R (like 'r' in 'rolling')

But I pronounce it like this: pi - di -di - en - oh - es :D

Yeah, in German I pronounce it pretty much the same. :D

I say the "p" a bit softer, but her pronounciation is correct and btw Nicole Schuster, sorry, but I really don't like her. :shameonyou:
She is German and was dx with autism, but now she is running around and telling she is cured, because she is finished with university and found out it's not good publicity to be dx with a "mental disorder"...!
Or something like this.

I don't normally pronounce it (I don't like the word, I normally just call myself (and others with an ASD) 'non-neurotypical' and those without an ASD 'neurotypical'.) but on the occasion that I do pronounce it, it sounds like this. I'm not sure of the correct pronunciation (I probably don't use it) but that's it sounds in my head when I read it, so that's what I use.

Ass-Pur-gurs is how i would pronounce it. Here in england they pronounce the G like a J which is highly annoying considering it was a German Phsychologist who discovered it.

I say Asperjer's. I think it's the nicest sounding pronunciation. But I also probably say aspie more than anything.

That's how I pronounce it, too.

:chin: My records do not state otherwise, so yes, I'm fairly certain that I am American. (Although, most of the time, I don't even feel like I'm an Earthling.) :roll:

"Ass-burgers

Ass-purger's"

I think I say it that includes some sound inbetween the b and p (or sort of combines the two---I don't know, hard to explain). So sort of both of those

I don't know because I hate the word so much that I never say it, but in my head I pronounce it as ''AsperGers''. But most people that I know (who I have heard say it) pronounce it with a ''J'' instead of a ''G'', which makes the word sound uglier to me, I don't know why.

In Greek the word is pronounced /A'sperɟer/

ɟ = Voiced palatal stop ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voiced_palatal_stop )
