As a young child my parenty were told I likely had dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADD but my parents continued to push for a better answer as these did not seem to fully explain my issues. In the end the phycologist told my parents something along the lines of "OK, well lets just say he has 'Simon's Syndrome' and look at the symptoms of what ever that would be since the DSM had no AS at the time. I have been diagnosed with depression at various times later in life.

Now at 30, I am being reffered for AS diagnosis and it would seem a perfect fit.

Okay, I guess the OP is asking how many labels did we have before we got the AS diagnoses.

I had:

Cluttering disorder
suspected OCD
Dyspraxia
Sensory Processing Disorder
ADD
Behavior issues
Communication disorder
Language Processing disorder
and I had the autism label in my early childhood and then it was just changed to autistic behavior because of my history of hearing loss

Then when I got diagnosed with AS, I also got the depression, anxiety, and OCD labels as well with it.

I am not sure if I understand the question. Do you mean how many diagnoses we got when we got diagnose with an ASD as in ASD with co morbids or how many diagnoses did we have before we got the ASD label?

Good question! I meant before the ASD label. I didn't think about comorbids, but that could also be part of it.

Yeesh this could take some time...

General anxiety disorder
Panic disorder
obsessive compulsive tendencies
Motor tic disorder
asthma (turned out to be Tourettes!)
Borderline personality disorder
psychotic disorder NOS
Mild depression
Moderate depression
Dyspraxia
Dystonia

I have since been reviewed. I have officially got:

Autistic spectrum disorder
ADHD-CT
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Tourettes syndrome
Dyspraxia
Severe Depression

Most of the above diagnoses were either wrong or part of the lower set of conditions. I hate having so many labels!

I had 4 diagnoses until now:
-The first when I was 6, when I've been diagnosed with AS for the first time;
-Another one when I was 11, and I was diagnosed with Social Anxiety Disorder and I was suspected to have OCD;
-For the third time when I was almost 13, and I was diagnosed with AS and ADHD;
-The last diagnosis dates back to almost one year ago, when I was diagnosed with Asperger's and Tourette's. And I think this will be the last diagnosis I will take, because I got tired of passing hours and hours in an hospital just to take another diagnosis.

I was diagnosed with classic autism but my parents knew that was an incorrect diagnosis so I got evaluated again and diagnosed with aspergers.

I was misdiagnosed ADHD and Tourette's at age 4.

Diagnosed AS at age 16.

I do have correct diagnoses of AS, schizophrenia NOS, and OCD.

Also have suspected dyspraxia and I have complex visual processing problems, and migraines / partial seizures.

But I had severe behavioural problems as a child which were misdiagnosed as severe ADHD. Tourette's came from apparent tics (I can't remember back then).

My Mum eliminated certain foods from my diet and my behaviour calmed down a bit over my childhood, but when I was 12 I developed schizophrenia, so negative symptoms took away the happiness in me. When I was 15 I was medicated. Now I am badly affected by negative symptoms to the point that I barely show emotion at all.

Not sure if some of these were "official diagnoses" (because does a diagnosis mean that the clinician states "I diagnose this person with..." or does it just mean that the outcome of you seeing them was what they wrote in their report on their findings?) or just labels/descriptions but I had them all in report form:

1. OCD
2. social cognitive issues
3. tactlessness
4. poor sense of humour
5. difficulty in engaging and developing friendships
6. rigidity of behaviour
7. hoarding
8. chronic generalised anxiety disorder
9. hypersensitivity
10. obsessional behaviour
11. "overlap with autism spectrum behaviours" (which is so far the closest I've got clinically)

(I've had a non-clinical assessment with testing confirming AS by an AS expert, not an official clinical diagnosis yet.)

...plus over many years have been treated for depression and anxiety by GP so that probably is called diagnoses too.

One, dyslexia and that was correct at that time.

But I got also missdx three times (ADHD, delusion, Borderline).
When I got missdx with ADHD I was propably hypomanic and because of my HFA and delsusion and borderline, I had a trauma at that time.

My most correct diagnoses are:
Somewere on the ASD spectrum, dyslexia in the past, Tourette/tic disorder, Gender dysphoria, propably bipolar.

I was officially diagnosed with anxiety and depression on two separate occasions. While neither of these were wrong, they didn't tell the full story. I knew it didn't and continued to search for answers, which came when I discovered Asperger's. I self-diagnosed, then had it confirmed with a formal diagnosis.
