I have recently been informed that I am nasty by a person who I've lent money to, invited to my house and paid for a takeaway meal for last weekend ie I've been very generous towards this person. When I point out that their behaviour is often unpleasant, ungrateful and ignorant towards me though I get called nasty!

So moral/character judgements can be used as a sneaky way of diverting attention from a person's own failings.

This was the ultimate truth that set me free when I discovered it after 40 years of being manipulated with the excuse of morality.
