1. Are there people you can look in the eye and touch because you want that intimacy and you trust them?
--not really. Let me elaborate, I can touch the husband, but the eye contact thing is still really limited even with him. Other people--NO

2. If you lose trust in them, do you find you can't let them touch you/look you in the eye?
--that is correct

3. Do you ever get so absorbed in something (a special interest) that you forget you're hungry or thirsty or something like that?
--YES. That was the main reason I was tipped off about possibly having ASD

4. Can you multi-task?
--no. I'm dreadful at it. In this modern life, I certainly find myself trying, but honestly, no

5. To what extent? For example I can't think of two things at the same time but I can think while doing physical stuff that doesn't require much thinking. I can also observe everything at once (watch tv, listen to a conversation) but it's really hard to process/comprehend it. I can remember it though, and sort of separate the experiences later.
--to the extent that I can't even hear what someone just said to me, husband tells me all the time that he told me something, and I swear he didn't, and I think about it, and it was while I was doing something else. I just have a one track mind

6. Did you experience a sort of peer pressure to be normal and tried to copy other kids?
--of course, I think any kid, ASD or not, does that. Don't they? :)

7. Made trying to fit in your special interest? Or got something you sort of liked and made it into a special interest because it was something others liked so you could talk to them? (possibly creeped them out when the next day you knew more than them)
--nope. Never tried that hard to like something on someone else's behalf.

8. For what reasons? Wanting to make friends? Or... For example, I believe I did it because it would make the bullying stop, which it did, and people laughing at me replaced it.
--only thing I can think of was trying to like 'fashion' in school, but not caring enough about it to really make it an obsession. Just not caring enough to master the 'clothing+jewelry+hair+makeup' thing like NT females. I even took "modeling" classes that were popular in the 80's but it did not turn into an obsession. I got bored with it pretty quick, not enough mental stimulation, not enough reward in the form of positive attention from peers and boys :)

9. Do you have siblings that have AS or appear to have AS, but not parents or family members that exhibit any signs.
--I'm an adoptee, that's a loaded question. I really didn't have anyone in my life like me at all

10. Do you have trouble with remembering spoken instructions? or even listening to pure audio tests like in language classes.
--OMG yes, big point of contention with the 'parental units'

11. How about, translating word problems into actual math when nothing but words were given? Maybe I should clarify and just say solving mathematical word problems (which is making the problem explained in words "Sally is two years older than Joe, Joe is twice as old as Kate, etc." into math and then solving the math).
--absolutely suck at math. Had 4.0 gpa in college until I couldn't put off the math classes any longer. Now I know there's a word for that, and a reason for that. But it was painful to go through all math classes in High School daydreaming instead of listening, and a teacher even accused me of being on drugs. I wasn't on drugs, I was just so frustrated that I mentally 'checked out' for the hour I had to sit there

12. Are any of you writers and can give your characters motivations/plots etc have them navigate social stuff because you observed people, but can't do it yourself?
I'm too impatient to write, sorry. Question Not Applicable :)

Really? Did you like google "Forget to eat when focused?" or did somebody comment on it or something? I knew it didn't happen to others, but I never questioned it. It allowed me to skip meals if I didn't like the food without feeling hungry.

I didn't think of multitasking as this, but wow, this happens to me too. I'll be reading something or finishing typing a sentence and someone will tell ask me something like "Are you having dinner?" I might reply no and then later complain they didn't offer me any only to be told I said no. I think for me it's sort of a balance of attention. But it's usually tipped extremely one way or another to the point that as I said I don't notice I'm hungry. But when I'm not focused on anything I can sort of balance it and make the effort to multitask.

Apparently in many symptoms list I've read that people with AS/ASD don't understand peer pressure.

well, I'll remind you that I'm female, ASD females follow a different arc than males.... you might also note my age. I survived the school years by trying to be invisible, and I didn't know what my 'problem' was until very recently. So, I did know that other kids did certain things, I did not necessarily know why because I wasn't necessarily at the same place in adolescence/development as they were, but I did know that kids who were different were picked on if they stood out too much, thus I tried to do what others around me were doing--to the extent that I was able to notice it, or to the extent that it was pointed out to me by someone else
