I don't really stim that much to begin with, but I'm more likely to giggle than stim when I'm excited.

I used to think it was just me being weird, glad to know that there's a reason for it and that I'm not the only one. Haven't even got my diagnosis yet, hopefully getting it this month or next month.

I was wondering if anyone else does this because when I get really excited especially talking a bout a topic of interest I start to get really hyper at times and start stimming like mad especially combined with extreme happiness. I will get hyper start to flap my hands and kinda make a squeeling sound sorta like this *EEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!* in a sorta high pitched tone with my mouth closed it kinda sounds like a high pitch hum.

Yes. Alot. When I'm excited i go thru repetitive body movements Such as my body rocking back and forth. Only when I'm sitting down. >_<

Yes- I start jumping up and down and squealing with hand flaps, sometimes with a massive grin which probably makes me look like a cartoon character! once it happened when I was taking a class at school (age 7-8) and we were doing magic square puzzles- I set the kids ones of varying difficulties and a really hard one for the higher ability kids which I was doing as well. About halfway through the lesson, I suddenly solved it and got really excited- I think the kids thought I'd totally flipped!

When I was little my best friend was most likely on the spectrum also,we would play cars, sitting side by side, him in his world,me in mine but also together in some way I cannot explain. He would suck on his shirt,me twisting my hair. When we both got excited we would both jump up and down and squeal and he would flap his hands amd I would wave mine ha ha ! ! Then an adult would yell at us for being too loud, but we were happy, what is wrong with that?he was the only friend I ever had that I could really just be myself with.

Alot of the times when I flap my hands I also wave my hands really fast!

I bounce my leg lots too.

Pacing! Playing with hair! Toe-wiggling! Leg-bouncing! You just described me! :D

When I'm excited I might pace or rub my hands--or both, but if I'm really hyper I'll sometimes do this thing where I jump up and down and spin at the same time. I picked this up sometime during college; it's pretty effective at releasing excited energy. I have a hard time sitting when excited. :P
