I used to wish I was, desperately. Now I like being an aspie.

Oh of course ! ! When I see those happy NT's at the football games with their faces painted their team colors, sitting in expensive seats close to the action, jumping up and down whenever their team does anything good, OH YES I WANT TO BE LIKE THAT ! !

I want to be like the jerks who swerve, and purposely try to run over small animals. I want to be a ruthless jerk in business, cheating people all day long like the newest ones where people pay good money to have someone help them cook meals they then take home to freeze ! ! YEAH, that's what I want to do, convince people to give me their money for bottled smoke.

OH YES, I want to be one of those who say, oh the president's not that bad. And they believe whatever he says ! !!

OH YES, MAY I HAVE THE CURE ??? MAY I HAVE ANOTHER, SIR ????

I'd rather keep my Aspieness and go into social skills training if I have to.

There are definitely some things I would like to work on. I don't want to say and do stupid things that would make people doubt my intelligence. I want to be less nervous and to be able to do well on my interviews in order to get a full time job. (I have a job at the library I love and am ideally suited to. I would like to work full time if I could.)

Things I wouldn't change: a good vocabulary, a good memory for factual material, and a love of animals, especially cats.

No, I'd very rarely want to be NT, especially if it means conforming to boring stereotypes. Maybe NTs get more respect in life so there are sometimes I wonder if I would like to be one but I really can't imagine myself being any different than what I am.

Do you mean "sure" as in you agree or "sure" in a sceptical way?

Prof. Pretorius, I want to be like people who force other people to have their beloved animals killed because they feel as if those animals are dangerous to them.

No never, because I wouldn't be me without it, I'd be somebody else and I don't want to be someone else.

I don't ever wish I was NT. When I do wish for things, I tend to wish for things a little more concrete than that.

I don't ever wish to be one, but I wonder what it is like, how much easier it is...

Sometimes however, I wish they would be an Aspie for 5 minutes to realise how it feels like.

No. Never.

From what I can tell, being "normal" (heh. What the hell IS "normal", anyway?) is a very dull state of mind (and a very strange one in and of itself - grown men blubbering because their freakin' football team lost? Christ, get some perspective!). And frankly, I like standing out from the crowd - my friend Stephanie told me to rejoice in my uniqueness, and I do.

The only thing I would change if I could was my tendency to have meltdowns over really tiny things (and maybe my tendency to obsess over people I find attractive. That's a real pain). Those I could definitely do without. Otherwise, I wouldn't change a thing.
