Do you fit Gillberg's Criteria?

I think part of it is that I want explicit acknowledgement of everything, not just the minimum needed to meet the diagnosis.

More or less, I fit the criteria.

However, some things are obviously up to the judgement of the person doing the diagnosing.

Severe impairment in reciprocal social interaction (at least two of the following)
inability to interact with peers NO
lack of desire to interact with peers YES
lack of appreciation of social cues YES
socially and emotionally inappropriate behavior YES
All-absorbing narrow interest (at least one of the following)
exclusion of other activities YES

I would pass the test.

I think it's harder to meet.

limited facial expression They're not natural to me, but I've learnt to do 'normal' ones by mimicking others, so if someone was assessing me, they would think that I have normal facial expressions. Unless of course they asked me what I thought about my facial expressions.

Motor clumsiness:

The way those are written, I don't meet a single one.

I apparently meet it as I was assessed with such (though I don't know how they figured out the motor clumsiness one, as there was no physical testing -- I guess they figured problems with handwriting was enough). Anyway, my subjective evaluation:

Based on my personal beliefs and previous assessment, I think I'd meet the required criteria for everything except, perhaps, motor clumsiness. I picked up most sports that required hand-eye coordination pretty well but I have issues handling smaller objects like Legos or model ship pieces. Not sure if that's sufficient.

I'm printing this out to show the doctor in a couple of weeks. I do, for the most part fit these criteria.

Something interesting:

I noted one lady at an AS clinic had a copy of such in her lap (on top of a folder) when "assessing" me. So, it appears it can be used in actual clinical practice, i.e., is this person displaying "clumsy/gauche" body language in front of me? Some, such as problems interacting with peers and whatnot won't be able to be determined (other than questions asked), but many can be.

There's probably lots of official information out there regarding such with a Google search.

From what I've read on my google searches about an official diagnosis on my region, at least here it depends on the clinical centre and/or institution using the criteria. So, depending on what place you choose for your diagnosis, you have an indirect "choice" of the criteria. I'm not sure if one can just say "I want to be tested with the *insert criteria here* criteria!" though.
Here, the most common are:
DSM-IV (I predict a 2 year delay until DSM-V just like almost every other time here in Germany), ICD 10, Gillberg and Szatmari.
