Or it'll allow you to not be a disorganzed idiot, drive without messing up due to your visual spatial deficits, and in general get things done.

Thus turning me "NT" instead of a less crappy version of me.

I just accidently took the 50 mg dosage of Piracetam for Noopept.

I have never had extreme 3D vision like this. Hopefully, I won't die. lol

be aware that straterra is expensive [$30 per capsule] and has as its main side effect GERD. and nicotine is highly addictive. maybe your better choice might indeed be the piracetam.

After one week on noopept (50 mg, 25 twice day), piracetam (3 ml), and choline (300 mg)

Preliminary: not sure how much use this is for Asperger's over the long term, but I think what it's most effective at is a treatment for anxiety, particularly agorophobia, and perhaps NVLD. I'm surprised it's sold as a "dietary supplement" in the U.S. and not a far more expensive prescribed anti-anxiety medication.

The good

1. social anxiety is way down.

2. concentration is way up.

3. My visual sensory issues are way down, i.e. depth perception, focusing, problems with focusing on movement, and tunnel vision problems are reduced. I am actually beginning to be able to visualize things and find my way around through a map in my head, something I could never do before.

4. I walk normally (moving arms, natural movements, etc.) / MUCH better posture

5. Much easier to make natural NT facial expressions (hard to explain) + easier to feel and express emotions.

6. Insomnia is gone.

The bad

1. Headaches occasionally (using choline usually gets rid of these)

2. Sensitivity to sound is enhanced, such that loud noises bother me more than before.

3. It's easy to get irritated with people, especially stupid people / road rage

4. My emotional reaction to things (positive and negative) is much more extreme than before. Sometimes, I feel tears coming up when someone says something kind or even vulnerable. Which is kind of weird. Female co-worker told a story about being harassed on a bus, and I think I actually nearly cried. Or felt water going to my eyes. Maybe this is similar to "empathy" that NT's experience. I used to have to force myself to pretend to care about other people's problems.

5. I may avoid some social situations more because I have a heightened awareness of when I am and am not welcome. This awareness of the negative may be extreme.

6. I can get so focused on something, I lose track of time (this never happened before).

Some of these are self-observations, which can be skewed. Many of them, however, I got first-hand today through my acting coach who works with me on body language.

It's 2 months on, 1 month off. After 3 sets of this, I am planning to retake the Weschler IQ test to see if I still qualify for NVLD.

Here's the encouraging news:

Quote:
Chronic treatment with Noopept was not followed by the development of tolerance, but even potentiated the neurotrophic effect.

What neurotransmitters do noopept and piracetam repalce/enhance?
I know choline is for acetylcholine which I cant take, it makes me more anxious.

Nootropics make me cry all the time instead of having just a deadened depression. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. It might make therapy more helpful, so I have something to say besides "I feel tired and unmotivated and no idea why" lol

Hi,

I have NVLD but without Asperger. I am a 22 yr old male from Holland. I have been using both Piracetam & Noopept with Choline over the past month and noticed some differences. The most conspicuous one for me being that my reading speed has increased tremendously. Prior to using these nootropics, I tended to read rather slowly and vocalize each word in my mind (maybe an NVLD thing?), but lately I am able to read much faster with high comprehension without having practiced particularly on this skill. Also, dreams have become more vivid and quite often even lucid and my motor skills/tactile movements seem to have improved. I haven't really noticed any difference on the social side of things, although my anxieties seem to have reduced to an extent. I hope this may be of interest to some.

That's interesting. What does it do for you? I'm on Strattera, and the only real difference I've noticed was that it helped me to focus better. You know, sit down and apply myself.

After almost two weeks, Noopept got rid of my blunted affect. I now supposedly pass as fully NT according to my therapist. That was easy....
