Is excessive daydreaming common among aspies? I read about "maladaptative daydreaming disorder" and it fits me.

I don´t consider it disorder and I don´t want to be cured of it. That´s what I do while stimming.

That's definitely me! I hadn't heard of that 'disorder' before so I quickly read up on it, and that's definitely me. I have always been like that. That's one of the reasons I need privacy so much. I need to daydream, I get very restless, impatient and uncomfortable otherwise. Music is a real good stimuli for me to daydream to, before the first verse is over I'm so far into my dreams that I don't hear a thing.
I've always been like that. Even in my first daycare (where I was when I was 2 and 3), I'd go to the fence where I could be left alone and daydream without interruptions.

I can safely claim at least 33 years of excessive daydreaming :D

At middle and high school, I traveled many kilometers by train in my daydreams. :)
