My senses overlap. Endless loop screen savers, bright lights (fluorescent especially), and white noise (such as from lab instrumentation) will derail me. I am not an epileptic. I sometimes even feel faint if my senses are overwhelmed. Conversely, I am fascinated by flickering candlelight, glittery objects, certain patterns, etc. Recently, at work, someone had a poster mounted and I thought it was holographic (I was informed it is not). I become transfixed. Also, I often use a digital metronome with a visual pendulum to help pace myself. I never get bored - ever.
