cant understand how people can wear different clothes everyday. I am sure everyone has a favorite outfit that is better then the rest...why would you not want to wear that everyday...to look your best everyday.

Its only logic.

and 'feel' your best everyday (from an emotional and sensory standpoint).

honestly, i think this is a 'no-brainer' in regards to relation to autism. i mean no disrespect; what i mean to say is, when i saw the name of the post, i already had my response in my head without reading any of the posts.

I wore the same shoes for months on end (without socks), really didn't want to change them but surrendered them in the end when they had almost ripped apart.

Those were SO comfortable!! ! I had a few pairs of Osiris D3's (the ones in the pic are a different model of Osiris, but the D3 was similar style) in the 2000s, and they felt like wearing pillows. They were skateboard shoes, but honestly the were better for walking than skating.

Charles

That's funny because I just told my comrade that they feel like Tempurpedic mattresses. I just bought a pair of these

I like new shoes after a few months, feels refreshing. I put them on thinking that THIS pair will actually last longer than a few months, but they never do. For once I would like a pair which will last a long long time.

I have finally narrowed it down to three pair of absolute favorite shoes that I rotate. I have the indestructable work/messy weather shoes, the comfy yet waterproof boots that look nice, and Earth sandals for summer. I do like skate sneakers though.

Except on rare occasions where I force myself, I only wear my moccasins or ballet shoes. I think I like them best because I can still walk on my toes while wearing them. I even have a larger pair to wear with socks all winter, despite possibly looking ridiculous.

Me too. When I need to buy new shoes I buy the exact same model in the same colour etc. If they don't have that model I buy shoes that are very similar to the old ones. Today I need to buy a pair of shoes for a wedding I need to go to. The model's the same but the colour's different and that really bothers me.

I've gone through periods where I would only get one kind of shoe for a couple years at a time. I usually try go stick with certain styles of shoes, and when I buy a new pair, I try to get a pair similar to the ones I had before.

I also tend to wear out one pair of shoes before I get a new pair, instead of rotating through pairs.

I wouldn't wear shoes at all, except that people make me.

I have big feet for a girl -- 9-1/2 WW, plus the top of my foot is kind of high, so it's a b**ch to find shoes that fit properly. Unlike most women -- there are a LOT of ways I'm unlike "most" women -- I don't own zillions of pairs of shoes. I have a few pair -- shoes for when I have to dress like a grownup (funerals, weddings, etc.), sneakers, workboots, sandals and flipflops. The sneakers get worn in cold and/or sloppy weather, sandals or flipflops the rest of the time. Most of my shoes look like hell, because I wear them until they fall apart before I'll buy more. When they're to the point where most people would toss them out, they're just getting comfortable to me.

For me, I found out the standard running shoe is severely uncomfortable. I now pretty much only wear canvas shoes with thin soles, or if in bad weather, my army desert boots. I got a new pair of shoes for working out, standard Walmart Converse knockoffs, this time lowtop, though. My hightops I wore out like hell. For street shoes I'm wearing Payless American Eagle shoes that are basically Vans knockoffs. I think I've about settled on the type of shoes I'll be wearing forever now.

I had been buying the same 2 sets of shoes for ten years. I loved my NIKE skateboarding shoes. The outside would change slightly from year to year, but the thing with skateboarding shoes is that they tend not to change the feel too much. I liked the flat bottom without hardly any arch support. However, I recently had to change my casual shoes per the recommendations of my doctor due to permanent ankle damage sustained while trying to see how far I could fly as a kid... so now I wear cross country running shoes because they are better at absorbing impacts of everyday walking around.

I'm also particularly fond of my skechers mens dress shoes for work. They change the name and the lace holes a little from year to year, but other than that they are the same shoes for the past 12 years.

I have been real picky about the shoes and socks I put on my feet.

I absolutely refuse to wear cotton socks -- Acrylic nylon mixes only - originally I purchased Burlington socks but when they became unavailable I switched to a goldtoe similar type which now has moved production to china - much poorer quality - not sure what I will do when the socks I now have wear out. For many many years I purchased only "Postman Easy Walkers" shoes from Kenney Shoes. I ran to both local stores and bought out all they had in my size when they went out of business (only 4 pair) - but at last a couple of years ago the last pair of those wore out. So far nothing really replaces those shoes.

i can't stand any type of shoes except for regular flat ones. they can't be made out of a weird material either. the ones i've got right now kind of get on my nerves but the nearest shoe store is a while away.

i also hate socks with shoes for some reason. i like them for around the house, but if i have to wear them with shoes, my toes being pressed together so much bothers me.
