Yes I think it is an Asperger thing. I am the same way.

I'd say yes, although I'm very much a team player if I feel like I'm actually on the team.

Yes, I generally don’t work or play well with others.

As someone with a learning disability, I actually preferred groups because it made things easier for me and other kids did the work and I didn't have to struggle and it still got done. :P When I was younger I hated it but by high school I thought I would rather have those than struggle getting the work done. Sometimes you only needed one piece of paper per group and only one person does all the writing or everyone writes and you just copy what they all write down because everyone is writing down the same thing and they are doing all the work and you are just the follower.

I think one of the reasons teams work doesn't work of aspies is because the left hand has to know what the right hand is doing. I just don't think we have any faith/trust in the other person we are working with. It's like we are control freaks/perfectionists and we have to know about every detail at every moment.

I think I can if other person does work. I don't like trying to convince other people to do work.

Never thought about it this way. I do, in fact, tend to be much more comfortable with groups when the topics are split up evenly, and merely reviewed in the group when it's 90 percent done. Even if I like the people I'm working with.

I always thought group projects would fail so often 'cause you'd often have "that guy" in a group. That guy who's either barely working and ends up raking in most of the credit, or that guy who always wants to control everything and constantly tries to one-up everybody....

Pride can also be an issue but that's also true of NTs as well.
