I must be weird because I love flying. I especially like it if I'm going somewhere I've never been.
I like flying too. The only thing I don't like about it is the air-pressure change. I don't mind extra fees and small place, old days are over, and I paid a considerably small sum after all.
I flew an Airbus A320, and I looked up many available data on it on the web after I came back, the history of the plane type, peculiarities, how engines work. I didn't know that subsonic passenger aircrafts nowadays use turbo-jet engines, not jets, for better economy. It's pure physics and I like it. Besides, I recorded the full flight to and back on my GPS unit. Marvelous readings!
What I'd recommend in addition is that try to be calm at any event in which you might get upset, aggravated, panicked, etc. I did the mistake to get aggravated by the security check on the way back because it appeared stricter and less apt overall than the first one. Fortunately I could get away with it and reach the flight. So, be there in time, and be patient.
