I am also very clumsy. My fine motor skills are pretty bad. In addition I have a tendancy to make "careless mistakes" chances are that when I make a mistake, it will always be a stupid one that I could easily have evaded if I had double-checked what I did.

Yeah, I'm really clumsy. I walk into stuff at work a lot and keep dropping stuff at home. I've been hitting my head a lot this year, which is kinda worrying.

I also fell over as I was walking up the stairs this morning...my arms are still sore and I've messed my thumb up.

Doors, my nemesis. Also being quite tall, any beams, pipes or other protrusions from the ceiling. Anything fiddly like picking up a sheet of paper from a pile of, or opening a plastic bag. And the walking like a robot thing with people kicking my feet at school to trip me up. Luckily I do not bruise easily or I would look like a giant old banana by now.

Does anyone else find it uncomfortable physically to stand still? Like it takes more concentration to do than the task sounds like it should?

I'm prone to tripping over anything that's on the floor, even if I know it's there. Go figure. lol

YES - doors and doorways - It's like the body starts moving in a direction before the avoidance part is initiated - and thunk. What I have learned over time is to carry on like nothing happened at all which is also amusing to anyone that noticed.

Same thing with low tables - especially when they have been moved. I regularly have bruises just above the knees!! !

Stupid tables!

Just recently I had a bad experience regarding clumsiness. I was in my anatomy class and my book bag was next to me. I tripped over it once while getting up to get something. Walked back... tripped over it again even though I KNEW it was there xD I ended up doing it again too. I laugh at myself when I think about it.

My relationship with most doorways leaves something to be desired. I am always clipping them with my shoulder or something, to a point where now I intentionally tap them with my hand as I walk through to make sure I know where they are at. My parents often tease me about the fact that when I was little I had a permanent red mark on my forehead from running into them.

Also, my hands have a bad habit of letting go of things, I'm always knocking things over and my handwriting is nearly illegible. And yet, I can still play Mozart...

I'm very clumsy. I bump into things, knock stuff over, am uncoordinated, hurt my toes because I manage to kick something, I hit my heels/ankles when changing sitting or standing position, and more often than not I have cuts or bruises. Currently I have a bruise on my left arm and I don't even know how it got there.

Standing perfectly still is actually very hard. Especially for my feet and lower legs. I have low stamina though.

Sometimes yes I am clumsy and it is often a bummer to include dropping things or once in a while running into a pole accidentally when walking down the street (need to pay attention more). I wonder if it is a lack of adequate visual perception as well as visual spatial deficiencies and also maybe an inadequate amount of attention to things.

I've learned to do that also. It does help.

My relationship with surfaces in general might contribute to why I run my hands over things as I walk past them... 14 years and I'm always ramming my elbows, hips and shoulders into doors.

Trust me, you aren't the only one. lol :)

I am not alone! I bump into doorways, trip on smooth rugs and I also have a weird gait I sort of waddle and can't help it. No matter the walking speed.

My girlfriend calls me an oaf.

I am clumsy like all of you. I just feel like I can't utilize my whole body. I always end up tying myself up in one accident or mistake after the other.
