When I am wearing socks or am barefoot and no one is around, or when my fiance is the only person around me. I especially like scampering down the hall on my toes is I am really happy or excited. To me, toe walking is just more fun than regular walking. It makes me feel happy.

I'll do it when walking up hill, pushing a shopping cart, feeling happy, on grass, gravel or any other rough/unplesent surface, stairs, bearfoot/in socks or anytime my heel feels to painful to use on the ground and that happens very fast, in about 300-500 feet of walkling. I'm sure theres lots of other things I do it for, quite often I am not aware of it also.

I sometimes do if I'm walking bare foot and the floor is cold. Otherwise, I don't toe-walk.

Do any of you toe-walk, not on the balls of your feet, but on the tops of your toes instead?

As a newbie, I can't post the link, but a video on YouTube- "Child Walks on Tops of Toes- Amazing"- demonstrates this kind of toe-walking.

(To answer the question, I believe I do this randomly, maybe more often after I've been sedentary for a bit, and usually don't notice until someone says it's weird & asks me to stop. ;) )
