Quiet. Very quiet. I hardly talk to acquaintances ever, because I have nothing to say. I usually find myself out of things to say in reply to people as well, because nothing comes to mind.
The only people I've ever been able to talk to at lengths are my mother, my late grandfather and my ex BF. And even with them I'd run out of things to say and be quiet most of the time.

It depends on what has happen before.

Quiet but if I have had plenty of time to introvert I can be quite chatty, also prone to over sharing in this situation. I'll be worn out for days as a result and if expected to repeat the performance the next day then it's not going to happen. In these cases I become quiet and only speak to agree with whatever is being said to avoid discussion on it.

I'm very talkative but I'm also awkward so I usually regret opening my mouth the second after I say something. It's not so much a lack of awareness as it is clumsiness. Things come out wrong. I'll shut up for 2-30 minutes if that happens but at some other point I'll start talking again. I'm talkative in spite of my clumsiness but I still react to my own mistakes.

I voted quiet because usually I am, but I can be talkative. I usually ramble and ramble, and the other person usually gets bored.

Quiet. Among other things I can't do authentic verbal input or in real time like someone else mentioned.

Very very quiet. I can go for days without talking to anyone and I don't talk much even when I do have someone to talk to.

Depends on my mood,if I'm happy I'll talk a hole in your head, when I have the blues I don't want to talk or listen.

Quiet, mostly, unless I have something I actually want to talk about, in which case, I can dominate a conversation. I tend to do better in small groups than in large groups, and I don't fare as well around those with domnating personalities.

I'm mostly quiet, although I can be talkative around the right people.

When I was younger, I used be a blabbermouth and use people as a sounding board. Still do occasionally. But I'm mainly quiet these days. And of course since I keep to myself so much, I can go many days barely saying anything to anyone.

To add, although I'm super-quiet, or just do not speak at all (!), I can/do speak around those whom I trust and, of course, colleagues. Strangely, I speak publically. Like at conferences and to teach. For me, public speaking is like a performance or even singing and it's not a reciprocal audience.

Where is the option for both?

I'm talkative more frequently I guess. People have a tendency to ask me what's wrong or think I'm in a mood when I'm quiet. It's really annoying. What exactly is so wrong with quiet contemplation?

This. I do get the occasional hyperactive spurt where I don't shut up occasionally.
