When posting, do you look at the title only?
Sometimes, if it's a question like this one.
And I might add that I think it's funny how some here on this site tend to get bent out of shape when someone posts a response to said topics without reading every other post on the subject beforehand. My response is usually as follows: "I don't have time to sit and read for an unspecified amount of time just so other people are happy about what I've said, in or out of contrast to others' posts".
I tend to laugh it off or just ignore them altogether, otherwise.

I know some people, sometimes many, read only the title. I just find it funny.
The most hilarious is when people answer the OP without reading the poster's later updates, and come up with ridiculous posts that are totally irrelevant because there's been a development since the first post was written.
I belong to a cat forum where some will post an "oh, I'm so sorry you lost your cat" and give all kinds of advice on how to cope with the loss, without having read that the cat was found 2 weeks ago and all is well with the world.
Or posts where someone tries to convince the OP his fears of being fired are unfounded, because they didn't bother to read updates on the thread that say the poster has already indeed been fired.

Thanks everyone for your replies I think that many people here read the whole post...and am thinking now that it's not so much a processing issue but a reading comprehension/understanding issue. WP seems to have users with a wide range of intellectual abilities (at least from what I've seen)...and the ones who use less complicated language and sentence structures in their writing tend to just comment on the title.
I've found that there is a greater percentage of people who just read the title on youtube (I've noted this pattern in my AS friend's videos) and it's possible that younger and less intellectual members are more gravitated to videos instead of print forums.
I also don't go on many forums apart from this one and reddit...and reddit seems to consist of mostly people of above-average intelligence like myself, so nearly all of the people there seem to read the topic and adjust their comments accordingly.
Just some observations. Can you tell I'm a psych student? I love studying people...especially other aspies, for fun.

This misdiagnosis caused me significant stress, which lessened upon finding out the truth about myself from my current and past long-term therapists - that I am an anxious and highly sensitive person but do not have an autism spectrum disorder.
My diagnoses - social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.
To answer the two questions.
Seldom, but I might have done that.
In MY case, it's just laziness. I just can't be bothered to read all. I'm a very slow reader. Having said that, if I do care to answer, I actually try to read the whole post by the OP most of the time. I always think about whether my answer is actually relevant to the OP. I might use the title being the "title" as an excuse for only answering the title, but I am very aware of what I'm doing.

In addition I can't be bothered to read most of the responses by other posters unless the topic is very important/interesting to me or I find posts by certain posters whose posts are usually interesting.
I think it's the responsibility of the OP to make the content of the OP relevant to the title. Not that I would be critical of those posters who don't give a very relevant title to a thread. People have different ways.

I agree with you on the reading comprehension issue. Now, I have a background where that's a requirement, so that might be a factor.
