It's a common human thing, and not limited to Aspies.

I think this is probably true. I think we, or most of us, as humans enjoy immersion in water, whether to cool down or to take some of the pressure off of our bones or both. It is why swimming pools are so popular. My apartment complex has one, and outdoor pool so it is only open in the summer, but I love that it's there.

If they brought dehydrated water with them, they would still have to bring water to add to the dehydrated water so they would have to actually carry more because they would have to carry the regular water and the dehydrated water.

Also, dehydrated water would be non-existent because water without water would be nothing. Of course, there would be minerals and bacteria left over in dehydrated water because it is not pure water.

In my experience working with kids, almost all of them like water. The only kids I've known who didn't like water were on the spectrum, and even most of the autistic kids loved water. (There were two who didn't - a Fragile X Syndrome kid with a serious phobia of water, and an HFA kid who pretty much only liked gymnastics.) Even many of the kids who hated every other activities enjoyed going swimming.

I love water. Swimming and taking showers always calms me down. I find it peaceful. Yes, it's a human thing. Some people like it more than others though and some have phobias of it. I know one adult (without any disability) who is afraid of water.

That, and a machine to spin a person around while they hold the new lightbulb in the socket, are just what the world needs!

I love how water feels when I go swimming or take a shower. It feels very good on my skin, especially on hot days. I also like drinking water because of how healthy it is.

I love to drink water ( must be ice cold ). I love to watch rivers flow and the tides come in and out . I love the sound of it running . I love boats that sail on it . I love to watch it rain . The way light is reflected and refracted by it .fish that swim in it .

I love everything about water apart from the feel of it on my skin , never been able to cope with being wet it freaks me out in a way nothing else can . I think it may have a lot to do with the fact that as a small kid we would have to take turns in the bath to save fuel ( my family was rather poor) as the youngest I would be last . There were 8 other kids in the house , as you can imagine it was not pleasant by the time it came for me . I also had a recurring dream every night till I was 17 that I was drowning while my family where near by having fun and ignoring my plight. The other problem I have with water is my eyes , just plane water can make them go very sore , bright red ext.

I prefer swimming to a lot of other forms of exercise, though I don't really enjoy how cold most pools are, and I hate getting out at the end and freezing; the locker rooms are always 10+ degrees colder than the pool room and it's awful. I'm also not a fan of rain because I hate wet clothes, though it does smell good. I dunno, I don't hate water, but I don't love it either.

can you tell me where those swimming pools with the cold locker rooms are at? all the YMCAs in my area like to heat the locker rooms even in summer! I sweat like a pig after getting out of the pool and NEED those cold locker rooms.

I refuse to swim though, but I still love it.

There's a Dehydrated Ocean on the Discworld.

I don't like feeling water on my skin (apart from my hands).
