I talk to myself when I'm at home on my own. I often rant to myself, and have full-blown and prolonged conversations with myself, speaking at a higher volume than normal. I sometimes even pace around the house ranting to myself about different people. I know I'm going to get caught out doing it soon by someone coming in and me not hearing them. Often when I'm talking loudly to myself at home I hear clicks and bangs and think someone's coming in, and so I go to the front and back door to check. It is highly unlikely for people to come in when they have gone to work or gone out somewhere else, but there's still that little chance of someone coming in because they feel unexpectedly ill or something.

I don't talk to myself when out in public. I don't do anything out of the ordinary when out in public. I already get funny looks when being normal, so I don't need to attract even more ridicule.

I have always been talking to myself, thinking my inner dialogues aloud. Unfortunately I often catch myself doing it in public, and pacing too - especially if I am very concerned or worked up about something.
Perhaps it would be a good idea to try to keep it inside.
