unknown to them its a bit of a compliment if they call someone whose autistic artistic, theyre clearly thinking the person is a talented individual and an asset to society and not thinking of their disability.

When I first saw the film "Rainman", and heard the word Autistic, I thought they were saying Artistic - I was only about 10 and it confused the hell of me...til my mum cleared it up for me

Its not as irritating as the way Americans pronounce Aspergers Syndrome 'Ausbergers'. WHY! LOL
