I think an island just off the coast of Norway will be a good place to reestablish Aspergia. It's constantly warmed by the Gulf Stream ocean current, so it's going to have a pleasant climate.

I think somebody has already done it, only they didn't tell anyone about it... As far as I'm concerned, Finland is the promised land for aspies. Some things to consider about Finnish culture:
- Silence in the middle of a conversation is good: it shows that you are a good listener and are carefully considering what has been said.
- Finns don't do small talk. If Finns have something to say, they say it, and when they are done they stop talking.
- Finns will tell you the truth even if it's not something you want to hear.
- Anyone who would be so bold as to try to have a conversation with a stranger is assumed to be drunk, Swedish-speaking, a tourist, or all of the above.

Antarctica is FREEZING! Why must we have our own country, anyway? What a bother that would be. We'd have to create our own political system, our own militia, figure out what to import and export, build houses and roads and all sorts of infrastructure that we take for granted. And everyone on here has a hard time working as a team, which is essential, I think, to running a country.

It is a grand idea for a book, but a horrid idea for practical realities. And why Antarctica? There is a reason no one has really settled down there, you know? IT IS COLD!

With the number of asexuals we seem to have among us, it would only last one generation, two at the most. Waste of time and effort.

My cousin adopted a kid from Finland and he's quite and doesn't make small talk.

I'd still taken Antarctica. W/ Bush's environmental policy it will be a tropical island in 20 years anyway 8)

I don't think it would work. Antarctica is too cold for one thing. Another thing is that there are probably as many levels of functioning, and types of sensory issues and obsessions as there are, Aspies. There are also the rigid scheduels that many aspies like to keep, as well and each of us like to live life on our own time tables. We'd all be driving each other nuts.

It's a nice thought, though. :)

ummm.... unless you do't believe in global warming (for some reason)...

then you would know that antartica is one of the first places to go... it's already breaking up/apart

but i don't think i'd vote for an aspie nation anywhere
