Of these, Western Australia seems to be the least geologically active, and least prone to both existant overpopulation and natural catastrophies.

Actually this seems to make the most sense to me; who'd be up for Western Australia? :)

Oceania for me - I've lived my whole life in Finland and I hate winter...

NZ would be quite OK (although not so warm), but if I got there, Hale_bopp would move elsewhere :wink:

Actually, Japanese culture seems to be the exact opposite of what I would prefer.It seems to stress conformity much more than western cultures. --The Japanese have a saying about this;
"The nail that sticks up gets hammered down."

In The USA, I am the proverbial nail that sticks up, and I've constantly had a hard time because I don't 'Fit In'. -- I would have a harder time living in Japan.

Given my choice I'd either want it somewhere in Australia or Canada. The isolation of Antarctica sounds good, but it'd be too cold, and sunlight for six months straight would get on my nerves after a while.

Heh. Yeah, but I could happily go six months without sunshine.

The polarest contient of course. Where else would you put a nation as such? Since we are super smart we can consturct our own cities and towns.

I think we should establish our nation Aspergia in the Mediterranean region, like the Israelis established theirs. Although given the political situation in the region, we might end up with PaleNTine attacking us.

What if someone made the nation inside their mind, kindof like Aspergia.

That would be awesome. We'd have a giant glass dome with Aspergia inside, under the water. What a great thought. :)

This reminds me of a voyage to the flying island of Laputa from Gulliver's Travels. The island was, presumably, held up by the Earth's magnetic field. It'd be cool if there was a story of the fifth voyage, going to Aspergia. The four voyages in the book took place in (1) Lilliput, (2) Brobdingnag, (3) Laputa and a few other places, and (4) the Houyhnhnms [whin-nims] nation.

Perhaps taking a portion of New Zealand's South Island wouldn't be too bad. Not too southerly though or it might be a bit cold. :)
