But totally worth it. I haven't replaced them in almost 7 years -- the Shure's were E500's originally, then got recalled 2 years later and updated to SE530's (warranty) and the sound quality is amazing. Not to mention that they both isolate outside noises. The silence is worth it as much as the music sometimes. And the fact that no one else can listen to what you're listening to (on the subway or something). I can listen to jinglecats all day and no one would think anything was off (hypothetically -- I hate jinglecats).

I use the headphones that came with my HTC Desire. They have an excellent dynamic response, but what irks me about them is they are designed for people of average build. I am over 6ft tall, the buds always fall out of my ears every time I attempt to headbang.

I use Astro A30 gaming headphones. Best I've ever owned thus far. Not too small, not too big. Very comfy and great bass w/o distortion. Only problem is they aren't very tight on my head and will fall off if I bend forward too far.

I use Tracks by Danish company AIAIAI.

http://www.aiaiai.dk/store/headphones/tracks

They're the best thing I've found so far, as I can't stand the pain and itching caused by ear buds, nor the painful pressure caused by the sort of headphones that clamp over your ears tightly. Tracks fall into neither of those categories. I also like that they are compatible with Apple devices and have a built-in microphone.

I have Etymotic ER-6i earphones for when I go out. The noise isolation is excellent. I've had them nearly four years now, and they've had excessive use, so I have to keep repairing them.

For home use, I have the Sennheiser HD555. Very good sound quality, and very comfortable.

:)

My favorites are the standard Apple earbuds that usually come pre-packaged with Apple devices. They provide great sound and last a long time, Not a fan of the new earpods though, they are uncomfortable and too quiet/not enough bass.

Mine are the JVC brand marshmallow earbuds and they're pea green. It looks like I have peas in my ears. :D :P

I use an old 1970 or 80's? set of Realistic Nova Pros for anything 1/4" input, they were free. Sound is not perfect, usually they are plugged into a guitar and are used to drown out the world when needed so they their job.

1/8" input, I use whatever I have around, I used to always only use a set of late 1990's Sony Sports headphones that came with my Walkman, they are great for sound quality and were really slim so they stored well in my binder at school, they did not bleed sound from my ear and I think the teachers really valued that quality in a headphone. I hate earbuds, I only use them under a helmet becouse then I have no choice.
