Was this in response to me?

Temperament, environment and use all affect the development of the eye in a growing child; I was just pointing out that kids with AS are more likely to bury their noses in a book or spend hours in front of the computer or TV instead of engaging in outdoorsy/athletic activities, therefore the eye development adapts itself to the shorter range, resulting in near-sightedness.

It was in response to several! WOW!! !! !! ! I read a LOT as a kid! I looked at ICs. That was in the 60s and 70s folks, and ICs were NOT printed as nice as they are now! Not by a long shot! I SOLDERED! All CLOSE work! When my eyes were tested around 1990 or so, my vision waas 20/25 with some astigmatism. NOW it is FAR worse, and I am far sighted.(+4.75 as I recall) I have worked closely with computers the whole time(1979-2007)!

I have veery sensative ears, which is often a bad thing. Like the people who blast the bass in their cars-- I hear it from so far away and it makes me go crazy. I can also hear super high and low frequencies that other people don't seem to notice, and I have constant earaches. Sucks pretty bad...

I'm nearsighted. Without my glasses I can't drive, nor could I see what's going on several yards ahead of me.

My sense of touch is not what it should be. I frequently get hurt without knowing it or the extent of my injuries. It's like name that bruise in the shower I can't remember were most of them came from.

My poor eyesight comes from genetics, it is not neurologically significant to
my being on the autism spectrum. My hearing is good, but speech comprehension
is out of "proper alignment". And I have my tactile issues.

I can't see without my glasses at all.
I can only make out blurs of colour if I'm not wearing my glasses.
