How many Mexicans does it take to change a light bulb?

Only one aspie, but it requires an NT to constantly tell them to put down the special interest for 5 min and change the bleeping lightbulb.

2 - They need to argue on how how to obtain the best bulb for the best fit for the best light in this situation...

The answer is three.

One to rewire the house, to bring it up to latest safety standards.

One to choose the right wattage of bulb, considering the room it's for, and to screw it in.

And one to make 49 different choices of lightshade, because that's the bit Aspies always forget.

The answer is 1. Two is a crowd for the Aspie who likes to do things on his/her own.

One male aspie who lacks the social skills to find a socket for his bulb.

One female female aspie who lacks the social skills to find a bulb for her socket.

It is a simple, concrete procedure. And getting more people would require asking someone for help.

However, the Aspie in question must first look up instructions on how to change a lightbulb. While she is there, she may Google "Can Aspies change lightbulbs??" If she's having a bad day, she may have a meltdown believing that her disability renders her incapable of changing a lightbulb as well as a neurotypical...

...and God forbid she should have to **aaaacckkkk** go to the store and GET a lightbulb, having forgotten to prep those against extended bouts of agoraphobia...

i never figured it out, because i got sidetracked remembering this:

None, because aspies are hypersensitive to bright light and prefer to have their rooms unilluminated by anything other than their computer screen.

1 NT to tell the aspie how they need to plan things out, think about their choices, ask the aspie to describe how changing the lightbulb makes them feel, and collect their payment at the end of the therapy hour.

Three. I'm the Aspie that at least points out that the 10,000 is AVERAGE life. And rounded off, for that matter. Not a hard-and-fast minimum for ALL bulbs. I'd be disappointed if there isn't a standard deviation listed, though... with one, it'd be pretty easy to figure how many standard deviations below the mean that bulb lasted! That would open up statistical analysis for many bulbs to test that 10,000 mean... my alternate hypothesis would be BELOW 10,000 since most anyone would be happy to have it last MORE than 10,000 hours...
