I really like listening to my brother eat when it's quiet. He doesn't chew his food audibly but there's something about the little clinks and taps of a fork against teeth or a plate.

I love my head and face being touched, having my hair played with... I once fell asleep whilst getting my teeth filled because I was so comfortable and relaxed.

I enjoy the sound of typing too. I'm not sure what type of keyboard makes the best noise but I may have to investigate now.

I don't really have favourite smells - I seem to have some form of dysosmia which can be enjoyable but is mostly annoying.

I like swimming, like IdahoRose mentioned. :D

Here's all my favorite sensory experiences in bulleted list format:

Smells:

- Chocolate

Sights:

- Seeing pictures of my favorite animated characters

- Watching fish swim

-Watching animated movies/cartoons

-Bright, vibrant colors

Touch:

- Being wrapped up in blankets

- Soft pillows

- Cuddling with plushies

- Hugs

- Being gently "sandwiched" b/tw sofa cushions

- Putting my face into one of those toys with the surface full of dull pins that left an "impression" in the surface of the toy (anyone know what those were called?)

- Playing with puppies

Hearing:

- Anyone with a voice that sounds gentle, soothing, or "sexy" to me (i.e. Sterling Holloway, Thurl Ravenscroft, Forest Whitaker, James Gandolfini, John Goodman, John C. Reilly, etc)

- Soft, slow music (lullabies, ballads, classical, piano, etc)

- When I'm in the mood for something energizing, I like music with a good beat and lots of drums. :)

-

As others have mentioned, I also enjoy swimming and being outside while it is raining. Something about rain is just so peaceful, and wind makes it even better. I also like listening to rain fall on the roof at night when I'm trying to sleep (as long as the power doesn't go out, then I get annoyed because it turns off my fan and then I can't sleep).

I enjoy spinning quite a bit, although I don't do it often. I wish I could buy my own merry-go-round for my backyard. :)

I like the smell of lavender and chamomile. And also new books and plastic.

I like the feel of certain textures (soft animals, soft blankets).

That's all I can think of at the moment, though there are more.

I love pressing keyboard and phone buttons. As a child, whenever my father took me with him to Best Buy, or Fry's, or some other electronic store, he'd take me through the isles where all the telephones and computer keyboards were because he knew I loved pressing my fingers on the keys/buttons. Something about the sound of the keys and the way the buttons feel really make my heart giggle.

Another one is the way a gravel sidewalk looks at night underneath a streetlamp as you're walking. It looks like you're dashing through a space vortex where the stars are passing by you rapidly until they all blend together as streaks of light.

I probably look very weird in a clothing store because I have to touch every frabric to see how it feel like.

I have notice that it's not really one sensory experience in particular that I enjoy but it's when that sensory experience is overwhelming. For exemple intense heat or intense cold, heavy rain, loud bass music, getting a hair cut ect. The focus on just one intense sensory experience is very relaxing.

Touch - turned and milled surfaces, splines and the silky smoothness of carbide inserts feel amazing. My toolbox at work is full of things I brought from home that feel good to touch.
Sound - a lot of mechanical sounds are very pleasant.
Visual - watching my workpiece being machined. The entire process is enthralling.

I love sunsets, fire and iridescent objects. Some of my Christmas ornaments have that purply rainbow iridescent hue and I could just stare at them all day, twisting them back and forth in the light making the colours shift. Seeing soft but intense colours melding together, as in a sunset, makes my insides squirm with joy; I get a rush of endorphins and can't stop smiling or do anything to pull myself away.

As for other senses, I love the sharp smell of fresh rain on grass, and the sweet, pungent smell of cloves and oranges around the holidays. Cooking pumpkin, the smell you get on Halloween when you light jack-o-lanterns makes me happy too.

My favourite sounds are airplanes passing overhead on clear summer mornings when I'm lying in the grass with nothing else to do, and birds twittering in the trees come spring. I also love flute, piano and guitar music, but only the soft, slow kinds like Celtic or folk songs; they send shivers up my spine.

Textures are one of the best. I love the feeling of flannel, chanelle and micro-fleece fabrics; I have a weighted blanket made of micro-fleece with raised bumps and it's one of the best feelings ever. I also love my cat, she's so soft, even fully grown, it's as if she never outgrew her downy kitten fur. I really love squishy things filled with gel or water too, things I can squeeze and feel the fluid passing through my hands. I broke a lot of water toys that way when I was young!

Thunderstorms are amazing, the dark mysterious clouds, and the distant thunder and lightning.

I also like something heavy on my arm or legs.

I love drinking a cold drink out of a hot glass.

I like wearing one sock on and one sock off.

I think I just enjoy the sensation of hot and cold together. It makes me so happy :D

I like watching treetops dance in the wind, while they reflect the very last bit of daylight, during sunset. Really, anything nature is hypnotizing. I like watching grass blow around in the wind and sun too. It's like having gold just slipping through my fingertips. Like remembering a dream.

Getting in bed, right after I've had a shower and my hair is still wet, especially if the bedding and pillows have just been washed and the mattress topper has been fluffed up, just feeling a light smooth softness all around my body.

I love to eat pizza right after it comes out of the oven and it is hot enough to burn the roof of my mouth.

Taking really hot showers and using rose or lavender scented soap or shampoo

Having a fluffly cat in my lap (but only if the cat will be still and stop squirming around)

The sound of wind chimes, or a church bell

The sound of a train passing by

Harp music

Having cold feet, when the rest of my body is warm, especially putting my feet in a cold spring or creek

Having a soft scarf around my neck

Being in hot sunlight with a chilly breeze in the air

I love watching the daffodils dancing.

I also love to see how all the trees are lined up perfectly. No matter how many times I see it, it's like the first time I've seen it. It is truly amazing.
