I, ah, seem to be unable to discard things ... :( ... so I can say the same as previous posters ...

My house and my outer sheds are full of junk mixed with not-junk.

Tools, toys, and media make me dread moving in a couple of years.

I rarely get rid of tools. Even though I don't own very many, I still have lots that I don't often use, but I don't want to buy them twice.

I have purged a lot of toys, and I hardly ever regret getting rid of them.

I regularly purge media, and I've started to wonder about the value of owning a large collection when so many things are available to stream or borrow from a library.

I am known for both collecting and hoarding material things, and place quite a bit of value on possessing them. Rationally, however, I can take distance from them. Periodically, I will get rid of a great chunk of my stuff, if only for cathartic reasons. And then I'll start all over again, filling the new empty space with new stuff.

Typically, my collection of stuff at any given time relates to my current special interest.

I would think so. I exhibited these when I was young. I still do now but not as much.

I don't know if it has anything to do with ASD but I do collect/hoard things. When I think about it, I think it's mostly because I can't make up my mind on whether I need something or not. So I end up keeping the thing just in case. I just worry that I might need it sometime in the future even if it's very unlikely. So I have many useless things in many boxes.

Is my being an indecisive worrier related to ASD? I don't know.
