Hi,
I am a second year high school student about to start third year and every report in high school has been filled with A's and B's, but mainly A's. my parents are proud and my strong subjects are Drama, Welding and Science. I have only received 1 C out of 8 reports in High school and that was for Phys-ed as I am not good at sport and I don't like sport.

cheers, Heath Loxton :)

I'always been better in clas than the other kids, even from when I was young. I don't think I've ever gotten anything lower than a B (apart from sport, but I hate sport so I don't bother. most of the time i don't do it). i'm predicted all A's and A*'s in my GCSEs. I don't know why- some subjects like maths I really don't care for in the slightest. I think its just how I naturally am, combined with the fact that as i was pretty lonely as a kid all i did was work, learn and study. at primary school i didnt have any friends either and so i did extra classes one-to-one with a teacher which i think helped quite a lot. i don't really answer questions in class that often because i feel so self-conscious, and the other kids tease me quite a bit for being smart, which sucks.

Yes and no. During my grade school years, I was an all-around honor roll student up until 7th grade, where I started having issues with internet addiction and depression. I nearly failed that year as a result.

From 8th grade until 11th, I was an average to slightly above-average student in most of the courses I took, though I did exceptionally well in English and Social Studies, but I also had a lighter course load than most of my peers since the teachers noticed my tendency not to actually do any of my homework at home. As well, I tended to take "easier" courses than what was expected of me (instead of taking -1s or "pure" courses, I would often take -2s or "applied" courses)

As for 12th grade, I never finished. I somehow managed to get my 30-level credits for English and Social Studies (both -2s), but all of the other 30-level courses I attempted (you need at least four of them to finish Grade 12 in Alberta FYI), I either dropped them early, in the case of my classroom-based courses, or I just never bothered to finish them, in the case of my correspondence/module courses.

Someday, I would like to get my diploma, and upgrade my English and Social to pure, but the way things are looking right now, I'm probably just going to be focused on working, saving some money, and looking for another job that would offer me more flexibility. Yes, I'm probably going to become one of "those" people who drop out of high school and get so caught up with work that they never go back and finish.

I got second best and top grade (depending on which grade I was in) in Norwegian, English, religion and society subject. I was always class best or one of the best in these subjects.

I did lousy in PE and maths (I even flunked maths in high school), and wasn't good at chemistry or physics.
I wasn't particularly good at the hand craft subjects either.

So I beat them in some subjects, and was beaten in others.

Depends on the subject.
In elementary and middle school I was just an average student, but I used to get grades better than most kids in English grammar, natural sciences and Spanish (I did Spanish in middle school). I was below average in math and geography.
Now I am at my third year in HS and I get higher grades than most of my classmates in math (the irony of the destiny), English grammar, Latin and natural sciences. I get low grades in literature, essays, chemistry and philosophy (why is that s*** even obligatory in my school? ).
If you sum them all up, you'll see that I am an average student (most of my grades are Cs-Ds).

Grades were straight A's until high school. Once the work load went up in those grades , I began to fail. I ended up being a 5th year high school student because of not keeping up with the work load and also not remembering where all my classes were and the order of my classes. Not sure why that's so hard for me, but I always had those moments through the day of "what period is this and what class do I have this period?" Then when id remember the class, I couldn't remember the room it was in and how to get there. It was really embarrassing and I'd use to cry because I felt lost at school. I felt like one of those kids who gets separated from mom at a store and then can't find their mom and can't remember how to get back to the place when they became separated. Very frightening. So id stand in the bathroom the whole period because I couldn't find my next class. Eventually I asked a counselor if they could print out my schedule and I had to look at it everyday, all day, just to make sure I got to my next class. Since I was having that problem though, I ended up not wanting to go to school, which turned me into a 5th year student. Would've been nice to know I had Asperger's at that time and tons of executive function problems, would've helped me a lot.

I always got bad grades. No F's or D's. I never got straight A's. I didn't feel very smart when I saw my old report cards. I got F's in seventh grade though and a bunch of C's in 6th grade because the work got too hard. I would say other kids got a better grade than me until junior high when I started getting help. Only class I ever excelled in than other kids was Spanish in my senior year of high school. I always got A's and it was the easiest class ever and I did it on my own without any help.

I did struggle in some areas that I now do well in. I think it was in part because everything had to be a story, a metaphor, or require me to intuit what wasn't self-explanatory to me. Compare it to teaching me vocabulary in German and then expecting me to understand German grammar and sentence structure, or know that I couldn't just use my default English.

I'm also very, uh, specific. If I'm told that we should check something multiple times a week instead of immediately before class, then when I'm asked if it's true or false that we should check once a week the answer is false (the expected answer, however, will be true). I need more context to know if false implies that once a month is enough or something like that.

^ This. I never really understood why the NT kids in my classes at the time prided themselves on getting low grades. It was as if they were promoting mediocrity of academics :s My parents raised me to achieve far greater than the naysayers in either case, so I'm just glad I strove for better, I guess :s

I started out getting really high grades, in elementary school I got straight A's on my report cards (except for the one B I got in math in the third grade because I couldn't memorize my times tables). I was in the gifted program from 2nd grade up through the 7th. As I got older my grades gradually started getting worse.

I still had mostly high grades in middle school. But in 8th grade I switched to private school and my grades started going down because I was so miserable there. I would either do well or do poorly depending on how I got along with the teacher. I failed one class in 10th grade because I had issues with the teacher. I didn't have any problems with the subject, I just refused to do any work in the class because of the way the teacher treated me.

I went back to public school for 11th and 12th but I never really cared about school again. I wanted to drop out but my parents wouldn't let me. I would just put my head down and go to sleep in most classes. I don't remember what I got on my report cards but it was all over the place. When I had to take a test I never knew how I was going to do. I guess it depended on my ability to concentrate that day but a lot of times I aced my tests when I hadn't studied at all and really hadn't even paid much attention in class.

I used to get points taken off a lot because I didn't "show my work" on math problems, or write drafts for my papers or otherwise follow the process the teacher expected. When I wrote a paper I worked it out in my head first and just wrote it down that way. The teacher would say, wow your paper is really good and you are an excellent writer, blah blah blah but I have to take your grade down because you didn't write a rough draft.

Or on math tests I would just "know" the answer without having to think about it. Most of the time I knew how to actually work out the problem but why bother going through all the steps when I already know the answer? If I took the time to work my way back through the steps of the math problem I would just get mixed up somehow. Whenever I had to copy a problem off the board, or show my work, I would end up reversing some digits and write something down wrong. So if I showed my work, even though I did all the steps of the problem correctly, I'd end up with the wrong answer. It was a situation of damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Some of my teachers were nasty to me because they knew I was smart but wasn't even trying to get good grades anymore. They never tried to help me or find out what was going on with me. They were just nasty and judgmental or else they ignored me like I wasn't even there. I got the highest SAT score in my graduating class, but when they acknowledged the students who got high scores, my name was left off, almost like it was a dirty secret to them that I did scored higher than the students who got better grades than me.

Yes and no since in junior high a learning disorder showed up that resulted in my report card being uneven with high grades in a few classes and low grades in other classes. It was strange that my grades were like that and I did move around every few years as a kid, but still. So I was assigned a tutor for math and this helped my grades. In high school I was in the lower classes for math and science and the classes were too easy. Later in college I did fine in college algebra, chemistry, statistics and biochemistry. In graduate school made all A's and one B. In college I went to a tutor for college algebra and chemistry.

My grades were always lopsided where is the other kids usually were more even across the report card and that must of confused the heck out of my teachers. I got As and Bs in half and Cs and Ds in the others. After about grade 8 I had an average close to the overall average of the class and was an honor roll student by grade 11 mostly thanks to being able to drop the poor classes while picking up electives that I was strong at.

In math, definitely. Otherwise I think my grades were all over the place. As, Bs, Cs and and a few Ds throw in.

My grades were somewhat all over the place, but I ended up with about a 3.0 in both high school and college. I think I under-performed my verbal IQ, which at last check was 131, though.
