I agree. I have spurts of enjoyment or misery like anyone else. Sometimes it feels pretty d#mn lackluster, but in actuality life is amazing. I just try to keep that in mind.

I enjoy life in between the bad parts.

I enjoy certain things about life, but as a whole I would say that life is terrible. Still better than being dead though, as you can't enjoy anything at all when you're dead. :P

Sometimes, I suppose.
A lot of the time I'm just trying not to be bored.
Like now.
I guess it's ok most of the time, though.

A number of years back a psychiatrist said I had a constant low-level depression.
I don't think that's the case, it's just that I'm not exactly happy all the time, but it doesn't completely suck either.
It just is what it is and I'm doing what I can to make it better and I have various ways of ameliorating what suckiness there is.

Do I enjoy it?
I don't know that I'd go quite that far, but it's ok as far as what one might expect from this form of existence.

I guess I sort of wish I enjoyed it more than I do, but I do kind of have a flat affect emotionally most of the time, unless I'm at some extreme of feeling.

Even though I am a generation older, I think it would be a blast to hang out with someone as "groovy" as you.

i try to enjoy life. 2 weeks ago i went to las vegas for the first time. i had to deal with social anxiety attacks and escaped to my room sometimes to de-stress; but i was glad i did not opt out of the experience all together, although it was challenging.

10 % yes, 90% no.

My hypersensitivities have increased with age, as has the time spent in isolation. Increasing age, living alone in retirement - I feel as if I am in solitary confinement a lot of the time. The 10% that I enjoy: my cat, the social anxiety group I belong to, family members I love and who love me. These 3 things keep me going.

I would be much happier I think if I didn't live alone, though it would be hard to find people who were really congenial and who found me compatible to live with. Wish I could link up with more older aspies in my city (Auckland, New Zealand).

I try to fill up my time with hobbies, chores, reading, but it has reached the same old same old point and feel days are now spent just going through the same old.

No, never. It's really just a burden. And things I briefly enjoy, I don't really enjoy. It never fills existential void.

I vary greatly and quickly between loving life and spiralling depression. Sometimes I wonder if I'm also mildly bipolar, or if this is just normal and other people just don't show it.

I'm 'normal'.

BUT I find life hard and it is hard to cope at times.

The love of my life is Aspergers and by god he puts this into perspective for me.

His honesty is overwhelming and I love him for this.

You guys have got it right. The rest of the world is lacking.
