I have not done a full bibliographical study on that topic, but am quite skeptical of animal models of autism. Do you have any example of any progress in the research on human autism (learning to either clinical applications or significant advances in the way autism is understood) coming from such models?

Drug development - a slow process, it takes an average of 10-15 years. Our model of autism was offered only in 2010, so unfortunately, is too early to talk about such things. However, such an approach, in our opinion is quite promising.
