I thought that was reason for WP, so we could all post here and annoy each other ...

You're really starting to get on my nerves :P

This is one of the things I love about WP...seeing that we on the spectrum clearly do have a very good sense of humor despite our difficulties! Cheers to that!!

BTW, I too have that occasional propensity to unintentionally annoy people, and it's SO frustrating because it seems beyond my control to do anything about it before it happens.

Welcome to my life. Sigh.

I even wrote a post about autism awareness week that got hated on by a lot of my NT friends. (See related thread).

It's like it never ends. For some reason though, nobody ever offends me here. I think it's because autistic people think alike and know what offends our very peculiar sensibilities... or autistics are much less easily offended. I think it's both.

I annoy people on a daily basis. Always thought I was a just an irritating clown and couldn't figure out why I was such a pest to people. I had a alot of friends, and got girls, got married, etc - but bosses and some co-workers would just tear into me and I thought it was just me but couldn't tell what i did to frustrate people. The found out I will never REALLY know because I do not have the ability to really know. It's nice to at least know WHY I have a habit of getting on everyone's nerves

This mainly happens on the internet when commenting on other things people have said

What usually works for me is to not directly comment on what other's have said. Rather, I try to determine the underline topic of discussion, then see if I can formulate a sentence related to that topic that begins with the phrase: "My experience has been....". If I can not complete that sentence (i.e. I have no real-life personal experience on that subject) then I consider anything else I might say to be simply an opinion or self-indulgent advice-giving, and possibly best left unsaid.
