Ya! just try explaining that to parents with autistic kids.

My parents never really made me feel like I was less equal than others, but they definitely let me know I am different. And sometimes they just don't understand me. But luckily, they have never said they wished I weren't the way I am (I'm not 1000% sure I am autistic, I am going through the assessment now, I am currently diagnosed with NLD)
