Maybe write a note and put it away, just getting it out could help.

Thanks, I think I might give that a try and see if it helps.

I replay events in my head a lot too. I do it with a lot of events both good and bad, but with the bad ones I tend to keep playing them even a long time after they happen. I wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that memories are formed clearer during a fight or flight response. Who knows.

I also have a hard time forgiving people who have wronged me. I've been wronged by some of my peers in elementary school and high school. I have an extremely difficult time forgiving sexist or gender specific comments that people tell me or say about me. I've also dealt with ablelist characters as well. It's pretty hard when one of those people happens to be your dad. I also have a hard time forgiving my mum for jumping down my throat for going on about my special interests when I was a child without telling me about my autism. I also have a hard time forgiving myself for things that I've done in the past, especially what I said about my Grade 7 music teacher in front of the class.

I wish that I could count on staying over things when I get over them.

Depends entirely on what that thing is. If it's someone who used to make fun of me then I'll let it go in a fairly short amount of time, in fact I find myself getting over a lot of things since sticking to it serves me no purpose and comes across as petty.
