Tinnitus acting up this evening--suggestions?

I can only vaguely remember there was a joke about it on Seinfeld (George talking about his dead fiance).

The Original Series IOW the one with the pointy eared guy in it and the ham. ;) there were lots of explosions on the show.

i have Mild tinittis and its worse when everything is quiet, i suggest Music or TV while sleeping

Oh ha.
All this is reminding me I need to go to the doc and get my ears flushed.
I wonder what causes tinnitus - do they even know?

I read a while back that there were at least a dozen areas in the brain that could generate tinnitus, in addition to damage in the cochlea. people with strokes in parts of their brains have found that their long-time tinnitus mysteriously vanished. there is still not much known about it.
