Your mention of chalky texture reminded me of another candy I hate: those little Valentine's Day hearts with messages on them. Ugh. Those things are gross.

These? They are disgusting.

Those look like they may be similar, but no. These come in a big bag, and everybody distributes them to their friends on Valentines Day. There's a picture in this:

They're horrible and I hate them.

My food palette is very very limited and while I do like Mar's bars to a degree I generally dislike anything creamy or jelly being stuffed inside my food. Nothing worse then something sticky and awful being stick to the inside of your mouth, sometimes I have to brush my teeth to get rid of I then eat something else to get rid of the toothpaste aftertaste, its a vicious cycle.

I'm a picky eater when it comes to sensory, but can tolerate most any ordinary bland food. if it's anything fancy, gourmet, exotic, spicy, tangy, sharp etc. that i have trouble with and tend to gag. And like those goop filled Cadbury eggs? forget it :eew:

I love candies that are gooey, nutty, sticky, etc. because of the flavors and textures, but as soon as I swallow, I can't stand the bits that get stuck in my teeth that I feel compelled to find something pointy with which to pick it all out.

i can't stand sesame seeds
they taste like nothing and get stuck in my teeth, and their texture is somewhat like dirt.

i don't have any real problems with candy besides their overwhelming, over-the-top sweetness

Yes. Carbonated drinks are literally painful to my mouth, and they make me feel sick to my stomach even if I just have a small amount.

Doughnuts have an extremely unpleasant smell and texture to me. I think that this is related to long road trips, motion sickness, then stopping at Tim Horton's for a meal. For those of you who don't know, Tim Horton's is a coffee shop that sells many doughnuts and Tim-bits (doughnut holes). I really like their coffee and molasses or chocolate chip cookies.

Cannot tolerate cheescake - the cooked kind. The texture and the taste freak me right out. Once had a complete meltdown as a kid because my mother insisted I try her friends cheescake.

The made in the fridge ones are OK though - I think its beacuse they are more dense or something.

I won't eat anything with a wet crunch like fresh tomatoes or cucumber. They make me gag when I try to swallow them.

My family have forbidden making me coffee to drink and I quote my grandma explaining the consequences of my drinking the stuff to my tutor one evening: "Coffee makes Taci go ballistic."

I can't eat or drink anything that's very bitter unless it's coated in sugar or honey. Anything that's too bitter will make me gag too.

I can put a whole one of those in my mouth and eat it (I want to pull a happy facial expression for this) but I always feel sick afterwards.

Semi-solid foods, especially milky or with sauces. Semolina, blancmange, mashed potato saturated with a liquid (e.g., gravy), etc.

They're English and pretty much identical to American Milky Way bars. I love them :) I too have a lot of food sensitivities though: virtually all fruits and vegetables, mixed consistency foods such as yogurt with fruit in and things like that, certain foods I can normally eat when they're at the wrong temperature (cold mashed potatoes are awful), and things that are overly crunchy like nuts and raw carrots, or that start out crunchy then get mushy, like crackers. I eat crackers, but they're certainly not my favourite.
