My parents, - and the whole family, were very social and very noisy at family gatherings and I truly enjoyed it and participated, even though I often tended to be more of a listener, - especially as I grew older.

My mother was social. She had friends come over and all I cared about was whether they would bring me any toys. If they did, then they were OK.
I still never understood why anyone would want to be friends with my mother, because she seemed so boring and was so mean.
She would go out to department stores and chit chat with the people who worked there, for lengths of time. I couldn't understand why anyone would want to talk to her and why she would be talking to these people. Blah, blah, blah. About nothing. And they would smile at her and she would laugh at nothing that I could think was humorous, and I thought: What's wrong with these people and when can we go home or to the toy store?
My father was probably on the spectrum somewhere. He didn't really have many friends. He stayed to himself and was very old fashioned and square.
I am not biologically related to those people, thank goodness.
