Same here. I notice when people look similar (whether it's a family resemblance or not) but I also tend to confuse people who look similar.

I believe I have mild face blindness. Obviously if I've been around someone for a long time, then I will recognize them.
I remember people by a certain appearance, such as that they're bald, or something else distinctive. If those expectations are shattered, say they are wearing sunglasses and a cap that they don't usually wear, then I have trouble recognizing them.

I have mild face blindness. The more attractive a face is the less I'll remember it. Models all look the same to me. Attractive faces don't usually have any features that make them very unique. I can recognize some celebrities, but it usually takes a while, and I know them more by their voices than by their faces. If I see a face of someone I know well then I'll recognize them, but I can't remember their face at all. With a great amount of effort I can remember a certain part of their face (eyes, nose, or mouth), but I can't see the whole image of their face. When I imagine someone, I imagine their hair and the general shape of their face, but they don't have any features, much like a mannequin.
