Hahaha!

I am certain that there is a logical and useful reason for every piece of Arthur's attire.

How To Dress As An Aspie:

Part 1, Taking Your Pyjamas Off.

1. Pull your pyjama shirt over your head.
2. Pull your pyjama pants down to your ankles. Step out of them one foot at a time, or just jump out if you like to live dangerously.
3. Do the same with your underwear.

Part 2, Putting More Clothes On

1. Go find some underpants, a bra if you wear one, some pants, and a shirt.
2. Step into your underpants one foot at a time. Pull them up over your hips.
3. If you have a bra, place your shoulders through the shoulder straps and do up the hooks at the back.
4. Step into your pants one foot at a time. Pull them up over your hips and fasten them.
5. Align the neck hole of your shirt with your neck, the right arm hole with your right arm, and the left arm hole with your left arm. Pull the shirt so that it covers your torso and the sleeves are over your arms.

Congratulations, You Are Now Dressed!

I have been wearing jeans and a knit shirt since high school. I dress up for occasions if it is required (or I feel I should), like church, concerts, weddings, etc.

But for everyday clothes, jeans and t-shirts or turtlenecks always. Sometimes a sweater. Only my t-shirts have changed because they are no longer logo-related. Now, they are more "feminine" shirts I pick up at the store. But all knit. Usually a solid color. If I am buying a shirt at a department store and I like how it fits, I buy the same shirt in multiple colors.

I hate shopping for clothes. It is so difficult to find something that fits right and makes me feel good.

I hate trying to come up with complete "put together" outfits. It amazes me how people can have the dress, the jewelry, the shoes, and the handbag that all coordinate. I can never do that! Who has the time, money, and inclination for that? Not me. At best, I only look half put-together when I go out on occasions where I have to be dressed up. I can't keep track of all the details.

People at my church don't care (even though I'm the pastor's wife - they are used to me!) Strangers don't care. I don't have a job that I have to be dressed a certain way for. If I did, I would want a job that required a uniform.

I don't wear make-up, either, unless I know I will be under bright lights (professional photography or in a spotlight when performing.) But those instances are so rare...

And for performances, I only have to worry about my dress and shoes. I don't wear jewelry when performing - it gets in the way for me. And no one's going to be coming backstage to find out what I brought for a handbag!

Too cold for casual nudity here in London. However, in a week's time I move into a new home with underfloor heating. Can't wait!

lucky you! :thumleft:

I get the "naïve" bit, but not the "arrogant" aspect.

I wear a light-blue shirt (have 15 of them!) , jeans and a jacket 95% of the time, and can't understand why anyone would care one way or the other.

Don't give a damn about what anyone else is wearing either - don't notice it 95% of the time!

Unusual (apparently), unworldly even, but not arrogant surely?

jeans and tshirt for me which I'd imagine is the norm.

There was a time when I used to wear a coat even when it was sunny because I don't like my body much but I'm slowly starting to feel comfortable in my shell

Here's how an aspie is suppose to dress to show there aspie pride.

1) put on a colorful striped shirt.
2) put on a neck bow(A big one.).
3) put on a tutu(especially for you guys out there.).
4) put on a pair of duck feet swim fins.
5) Stick you head under a soft serve ice cream machine and pile it on and top it off with a cherry.

That's it! Now you are ready to show your aspie pride.

^me.
Also a scarf, and even a regular t shirt can make my neck uncomfortable.
my neck is so sensitive it's driving me bonkers.

since the army made me wear t-shirts underneath everything, I to this day refuse to wear a t-shirt for anything.

It depends on what my mood is when I get up, really. Some days it's just sweats and a tshirt, other days I don't dress at all, and many other days I'll go all out in retro style for whatever decade has appealed to me when I opened my eyes. I also have regular nonretro clothes in many styles as well and it just depends. Today, I look like an Indian. I have on faded jeans, a beaded halter top shirt, my hair is long and mainly undone but put back some with beaded and feathered comb, and I also have a few random small braids in it, and I'm wearing big turquoise and silver jewelry. I look like an Indian because the hairstyle around my face and the jewelry do that. I'm 1/4 Cherokee and have a lot of the features even though I'm half Italian. I can bring out either just as well but this brought out the Cherokee very well. Especially since I've been in the sun and I tan red instead of olive.

Wear the same stuff day in day out (with a few of each garment).

There.

Or, you could be one of "those" and wear attire related to your interest, only.

There again.

Of note, you'll have no say over whether you do this or not, as they're actually symptoms of an ASD.

There again, again.

Every day I wear:
long sleeve shirt (un-tucked, un-buttoned, sleeves partly rolled up).
henley t-shirt
cargo pants or carpenter jeans
black combat type boots (zipper on the side) or Vans or Converse slip-ons
most everything is black or gray or dark blue.

Also something I see aspies do a lot is to bring there socks like halfway up there leg. Seriously nobody likes how that looks, it's something that makes me want to strangle someone when I see them doing, Just wear you're socks around you're ankles like most people

I can't wear my socks around my ankles because the feeling of the fabric just sitting there, barely past the top of my foot and constantly at risk of sliding down drives me insane. The only way I can be comfortable in socks is by having them high, even when wearing shorts. I don't like the ones that go all the way up to the knees, but they have to be at least a third to halfway up my calf to be comfortable.
