Memes are very much like a virus and must spread to survive.
Some viruses make you feel uncomfortable so that you cough, and in doing so you spread the virus.

Commercials are intentionally crafted memes.
Some of them made some of you cough, and as a result the commercials are posted here.
I'd never seen any of those commercials until now.

For me it was a bit of Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR). I get tingles in my brain when I hear people whisper. It is quite odd.

The ads that make me want to throw up are restaurant ads that show extreme close-ups of the food they serve. Causes sensation overload for me and the most obnoxious ones are those putting the food in a position ready for the camera (you) to eat.

Hmm, freaky commercials, eh?

Okay, I've got one.

Best link for it is: http://www.starcade.tv/starcade/one-com ... own#vidtop

Theoretically that should go directly to the video itself and start it playing. Watch the volume on that one.

If that doesnt work, the absolutely craptastic link is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLUiYnw5e5o

Crappy for 2 reasons: 1. Very bad quality, the audio is terrible and muffled and the video wobbles. And 2. It's freaking Youtube. It's a glitchbomb.

This particular commercial.... every single word in it is permanently burned into my memory. Can recite the entire thing perfectly.

It always entertained me. I never did end up with a copy of that. Tried the arcade version in Mame recently though, turned out to be difficult as hell.

OH, GOSH, I KNEW WHAT COMMERCIAL THAT WAS BEFORE I EVEN LOOKED AT THE VIDEO.

YES. YES, IT BOTHERS ME. IT IS PURE SENSORY TORTURE.

Sorry for the caps, I just absolutely loathe that commercial. I scream and mute the TV every time it comes on.

The harsh sounds and "whispering" are annoying. Yeah if it was on high rotation, I'd hit the mute button

Another one for the mute button. I half expect one of those kids to whip out a Stanley knife to the psycho theme.... Arrghhh :eew:

The huge clapping noise they make with their arms scares me.

Oh my gosh, that gelato commercial is HORRIBLE! I could hardly listen to it. It was painful. I'm suddenly itchy now and I need a Benadryl.

I do indeed suppose that misophonia is different for everyone in ways.

Guys, gals, amigos:

This is why I do NOT own a TV. I can't take the stimulation. I get the info I need from the internet (News from the Drudge Report or whatever), but I have control to shut it off. The television is frucking evil in my opinion. It is destroying our culture with propaganda, and for me as an Aspie, it sucks the life force out of me.

I don't even listen to radio. The ads hurt me, too.

I can't imagine why anyone would want that cesspool of pain and propaganda flowing into their souls like sewage into pure water.

I don't think it's destroying culture. It's creating it, - a sick garbage culture.

I remember watching TV in the 1980's in my teen years and how great it was and my mother telling me it was all trash and how great TV was in the 1950's. I stop watching TV in the early 1990's and now, if I turn on the TV. It all look like trash to me now.

There is an old saying. If you put a toad in boiling water, he will jump right out. But, if you put a toad in cold water and turn on the heat and bring the water to a boil. He will sit there and cook to death and not move a muscle.
