I also have this problem, although I always did brush my teeth at least every morning when I was at college, but since that routine has stopped I am finding it difficult to remember, I have never been able to implement it into my daily routine properly, i have no idea why as I have tried.

if you go to work/college, couldn't you just think that you want to be smelling ok, bad breath is noticed by others, that's why I brushed my teeth when I was in school and college.

I used to forget to do it a lot in the past but ever since I was 13/14 I've been doing that every day and even more than once a day sometimes.
That's because I became paranoid about germs and dirty and I couldn't stand anymore people's bad breath. Bad breath is disgusting and I'll refuse to talk to anyone who has bath breath, unless it's through a phone where I can't smell their disgusting breath.

I brush after every meal. If I have a snack I brush my teeth. Before I go to bed I brush my teeth. If I wake up in the middle of the night and think I forgot I will not be able to sleep unless I brush my teeth. I like the feel of the brush on my teeth and I have an electric toothbrush. I have been using Crest flouride toothpaste that tastes like orange soda to me. Yum.

I think I brush them three to six times a day.

I've recently bought the one with Scope Outlast for the first time as it was on sale and it's the freshest toothpaste I've ever used - I think I've found a new fav.

I don't like a toothpaste that promises minty-ness and 2 minutes after brushing you don't even taste it. This one I can still taste the minty-ness a long time later!

.... goodness I sound like a commercial

I've been brushing my teeth more. I've also been using a whitening pen I received long ago.
