Don't like the 'squeaky-on-your-teeth' texture of foods like chicken, turkey and salmon. Bread and potatoes are too dry and I find them difficult to swallow.

I have hypersensitivity to taste. I typically only enjoy very bland foods, and my parents even insist I used to love every kind of food until I was three, at which point I suddenly became very different.

That's how it was for me. I don't remember it but they said I'd eat just about anything without protest in my first 2-3 years. The first thing I remember NOT liking was steak. I came to love it later and still do, but back then my mother over cooked steak until it had the texture and flavor of burt plywood. :x

Basically, I only have a problem with mushrooms, and coconut. If they're (mushrooms), like, diced really small, and mixed in something like spaghetti sauce, I can eat them; but, if they're big chunks, they totally make me gag. With coconut----just the smell of it makes me gag----even retch. I have a hell-of-a time at the beach. When I go to the beach, I have to stand in one spot and catch a breeze to make sure there's no scent of coconut in the area----but, EVERYBODY, seemingly, applies coconut-scented sun screen----it's just HORRIBLE to me!! !

I can't eat a lot of foods because of the texture. It's quite annoying at times as I love oranges but can't at all cope with texture, this is the same for quite a lot of foods. And for some foods for example an apple one apple I would have no issues with but another apple could have a different texture and I couldn't eat it at all.

I have found it to be a combination of both. There are foods I have been able to learn to like. Others though just do not agree with my system despite no particular allergy.
