Can you change with enough will power? Probably? But you have to take in to account the mental toll it will have on you as a person. The problem is is that your Mother is judging you based on how she perceives the world and not how you do. Your Mother simply has no comprehension of how hard it is for you to do theses things and may not even be aware that theses thing can be a problem for others. Join the club. I can feel your frustration.

You can change some of your behaviors. That is what all the special ed and early intervention is all about. But some things are not so easily changed. Sensory sensitivities are a different story. And because this can be so huge in how everything in your life is affected it really matters and that is not something that you can just have will power to make different.
