I have an odd sense of humor, but mine is kind of "surreal". I laugh at nonsensical things. It gets very annoying when people at school think that I actually believe or do the things I say I do when I'm joking. So when I make strange jokes, they apparently are laughing for the wrong reasons.

Jokes are better told in the first person and told dead pan. NTs are just not as sophisticated as us. Its frustrating but remember its their deficiency not yours.

My sense of humour has been described variously as: dark; dry; acerbic; absurd; ironic; sarcastic; cynical; inappropriate.

Does that sound like Aspie Humour? :D

Deadpan, absurdist, camp, word play, non sequitur, satire, bawdy, dark, and insult comedy are my usual comedic stylings. Having family from near Maine helps with the dry wit.

Things I find funny don't usually make sense or are otherwise ironic. Human stupidity I find just hilarious. I laugh at internet trolls and how people always take them seriously. I also laugh when people are debating about something unnecessary. I'm pretty much dying of laughter if someone gets offended or mad about something that can't be understood from any common perspective that makes sense.

Allot of what I think is funny is not to NT's. However I have learned to say things they might think is funny. For instance at work a CCS was asking if anyone knew how to speak Spanish. I answered no speak espanol. She thought is was very funny. And another time just last week I was entering some data into a data base and afterward told my co worker that some of the data was not there. She escalated and someone from another department came over, As they were researching they discovered that it was I that had entered the data I said was missing. My co-work laughed and laughed and will still laugh about it. I did not find it funny because I'm taking a medication that is effecting my memory and I'm very concerned about it.

Word play, puns, re-writing song lyrics to make them funny (especially "serious" love songs). Depending on mood, can be sarcastic and irreverent, but mostly like to stick to taking things to logical extremes and on to absurdity.

I am careful about who I will joke with, as I slowly realized that some people don't appreciate it and some situations are not appropriate for humor.

Silly me, I thought making each other laugh was the main reason we invented communication.

I've long had a fantasy of being a stand up comic, but I'd never get on stage, and I probably wouldn't be that funny.
