Anything between 3 to 10 times, I guess. I sometimes just linger on the 'post a reply' window for an HOUR before I'm comfortable with posting it. And after that, I may yet edit my post 2 or 3 times.

No worries here League_Girl. Nobody ever pays any attention to me here either.

I edit my posts many times before posting. I never edit after posting, although I am never satisfied with the final post. Somehow, it never looks quite right, but I can't figure out why I am unsatisfied.

I edited my post a few times. On this post I have already edited once. What I find myself doing the most is changing my Avatar.

could range from 5 to 20 times. Sometimes i have this mild dyslexia that causes me to write

-Thinks instead of things
-My instead of me

I guess it is because my mind goes faster than my fingers can type

All my re-edits have me wondering if I might be on the dyslexia spectrum. Is there such a thing as the dyslexia spectrum?

Does anyone else do this? Find a compulsion to re-edit until you're happy - no matter how small the corrections or how long it all takes?

I do the same thing... and then I end up deleting half my comments or posts. I say to myself that I'm "over-sharing," or that no one in their right mind will give a flying *** about what I've written.

1-3 times sometimes when I'm drafting something I say the words however I fail to type out the words so when I read the posted message I realize that I've left stuff out.

So glad I'm not alone in this. :D Sometimes a post is okay, other times I'll see a mistake or something else that I could express better, so I might edit it 1-4 times. Sometimes before the initial submission, but usually after. It's like I don't see the mistakes until a post is actually made. It's frustrating.

I edit what I say very often, maybe it's because everything that I say will potentially be held against me. Throughout my school years people took the p*** out of me because of things that I had noticed, the ways in which I phrased things, or my intonation (my tone of voice is monotone, unless I'm interested in something, then by comparison it's like Robin Williams' genie). So, unless I knew EXACTLY what I was going to say, I would pretty much say nothing at all. That feeling still pervades today, especially when I meet new people.

It varies. I used to edit them alot more due to my OCD being worse & posting without proofreading as much. Now I post alittle slower

I have a tendency to edit forum posts more than your average joe, so to speak. Similar to writing essays it helps me to start with a rough draft and then polish it up.

How do I delete a post? Does that require a minimum number of posts first, or do I need to PM a moderator or what? Please and thanks :)

You can only delete for a very short time if it's the last post in the thread. Mods tend to lock threads alot more than the delete posts.

Probably only once or twice...if it's a crucial detail I've left out, then I edit my post to add it, but if it's something like a punctuation error or a small typo, I just figure, "Ahh, it's okay, no one'll notice."
