Self-improvement and improvement of others, computers, studying religion, anime (this one is phasing out), and my special interests are reorganizing and re-forming themselves at the moment.

It probably seems like a rather strange subject, but fire alarms have been my main special interest for the past 8 years. Cars and architecture are my two other most important interests.

I used to be obsessed with banknotes between the ages of 5 and 11. I completely lost interest in this hobby a few years ago, but somehow regained it over the past summer (with a particular emphasis on older pre-euro French notes, which have some of the most beautiful designs I've ever seen).

I know that the LDS folk in Utah are huge on genealogy. What a great place to live if you're into that, I've been to Temple Square and their genealogical resources are astounding. I'm happy to have family over there, in part because they're great people and in part because it's a great excuse to go see Temple Square.

Seeing Temple Square at Christmas is the best. Its lights numbered in the millions before they were shamed by the Green Police to cut down on the conspicuous consumption. :D

Currently, they are:

- Animated films (especially Chicken Run, the Cars and Planes movies, and Finding Nemo)

- Comfort items and stim/fidget toys

- Stuffed animals/plushies

And I'm sure you've seen your fair share of performances, of Handel's Messiah at the Mormon Tabernacle. Their pipe organ is fantastic, one to rival some of the best in the world from France and Germany, I wish I could play it when I go there as I have been organist in my oratorio society for a few years and we do the Messiah this time of year.

Many musicians have played the organ at the Tabernacle. There are recitals and concerts there all the time. I believe that you may even get permission to play it during a tune-up by contacting the Mormon Tabernacle Choir director or his staff. If your credentials are legit, I imagine that you could take it for a test drive, or at least see it up close and personal. It is so old, yet in perfect condition, they worry only about its abuse. It wouldn't hurt to ask permission for the next time you are in town. :D

That's awesome. Maybe some day you'll see my playing it and not even know it's me. I've never played a pipe organ of that kind of craftsmanship, it would be a real treat.

Actually I have 2 special interests:

I've always enjoyed watching cartoons, no matter how many times people said "you're too old for that" - as a consequence, I began to animate my own stuff. The problem is that animation is a slow process and I always plan things like entire shows and then I hardly ever finish projects. However, I currently want to tackle some serious issues, which motivates me and I am already close to finishing something.

The other (smaller) one is rock music. I listen to my favorite bands everyday - yes, even the same album over and over - for example, I currently listen to OK Computer every single day. And I always become obsessed with one band - I can't have 2 favorite bands at one time and when I listen to one I am not obsessed with, it suddenly sounds a bit dull (compared to my favorite band) - this has also lead me to write songs for my band.

My special interest is facts. I feel compelled to learn every fact, about everything. I'm only a teenager, yet I can already outsmart my teachers, parents, grandparents, everybody I know.
I consider this quite odd because my understanding is that the special interest is normally more specific. In the past I was completely obsessed with Dr. Who. I still love it now, but not to the point of a special interest. At the moment I feel the same way about learning facts as I did about Dr. Who.
