I used to take things to sleep every night... got addicted to nightnurse for it as my mind just wouldn't stop and my ex would keep me awake with his snoring and we were sleeping in a very small space, so I would find I had no room to curl up. It was horrific. I used to dread going to bed. Now my main problem is my mattress is a coil sprung one and for some reason, the springs are near the top and they dig into me all over the place... I cannot sleep with anything digging into me. It is not an old mattress so I have assumed either it is meant to be that way or I am so immensely heavy I have gone through to the springs
I feel the springs in my mattress too. Try one of those foam mattress topper thingies. I sleep so much better with one of those!
I sleep right on the floor now. Foam is good too, but it's kind of nice to just not need any bedding. It makes me feel independant, and able to sleep anywhere. I took a nap on my office floor today!

i had a horrible time sleeping until i finished school. then i started sleeping awesomely, but i would goto bed later every day so as the weeks went on, my time awake would offset and i would go from being awake during the day to being awake during the night to back to day again. but lately i find myself waking up only a few hours after going to bed. i get REALLY tired b4 i fall asleep. so tired i cant even pay attention to The Simpson's or tell what time it is. I used to know the exact time it was the last time i looked at the clock b4 i went to sleep, and add up exactly how long i slept b4 deciding weather to get up or try to go back to sleep. I also noticed recently i wake up during a dream. I find it very weird, and i think it means i wake up during REM sleep... that cant be good.

lmfao what if some1 walks in and finds u sleeping on the floor. it might seem kind of weird.
if ur gonna sleep in the office, do it like George
Actually, my office mate did walk in. He tried not to wake me. We have other students sleeping in the lounge anyway, so it's not that big a thing. I did have to get up and partially close the door though - I was afraid that my reputation for oddness might be pushing things as it is. The only reason that I did this (aside from extreme fatigue) was that I had to be there for office hours; so I was quite prepared to have one of my students walk in on me.

I have a hard time falling asleep. But my sleep disorder is actually eating in my sleep. I don't remember what it's called though. I didn't believe my family when they told me that I 'sleep eat' (and sleep walking to get to the food) but when I lived with a roommate- he told me too. I thought he was in on the joke because I had no recollection of eating anything.
When I got married, my hubby confirmed it.
It only happens when I'm extremely tired.

Phew, am glad I am not the only one there. The problem with me is that I am paranoid about weight so I automatically use the fact I can feel the springs to justify my belief I am heavy. I shall see if I can find a foam thing.
