It works well, but you need to use certain things in certain situations.

This interview offers some good observations on charisma http://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/news ... _id=147035, although the language is unfortunately couched in typical management jargon.

For my taste the words "leader" or "leadership" are too much overloaded with the semantics of power and hierarchy to be useful. If you make the following two replacements in the interview, the content falls into place:
charismatic leader = psychopath
authentic leader = anyone who knows his/her purpose, has relevant domain knowledge, takes the time to understand others and to process feedback, and acts accordingly

Vanessa Van Edwards is a motivational speaker similar to Tim Robbins (although he is a life coach).
In this sense she is fairly typical of motivational speakers who fit the following profile
attractive
well spoken
articulate
educated
life experience

Her focus on the video is non-verbal communication. Her delivery is quite good, I can see why she is so successful.
