When I was a child my family only had a black and white teevee. When we finally got a colour teevee I was about 7 years old and I couldn't tell the difference between the old teevee and the new teevee.
I'm guessing that my young brain knew that when I saw black and white images that they were supposed to be coloured and 'filled in the gaps'.

Not that I think that this is an AS trait. It's probably more indicative of the adaptive nature of the brain to 'correct' what it knows to be wrong.

Hm...I could always tell the difference. The color TVs had worse pictures (fuzzier). Even true in B&W broadcasts. It's better now though.

Yes, this is true. I meant that I couldn't tell the difference in colour. They both looked the same to me in regard to colour output.
