Yes and no. Mood swings, rage, as well as holding grudges are all AS traits as described by Dr. Tony Attwood in his book "The Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome." So, it's not entirely BS and can be attributed to the OP's AS traits.

I didn't say or imply that any of it was BS at all! "Curious" means "curious," not "BS."

I also read your post as saying "temper and vengefulness" are not features of aspergers. Was that not what you meant?

My reading was that you meant it was curious that these were being attributed to aspergers, not that they are somehow inherently curious. I think this is a fairly common idiomatic use of "curious." If you did not mean that, then I don't understand what you meant at all. Can you explain?

curious, adj.

Arousing interest because of novelty or strangeness: a curious fact.

I know the denotation, but I don't understand in context, sorry.

I've never come across anyone referring to temper and vengefulness as traits of Asperger's.

That's what I thought you meant. Thanks for clarifying.

I don't think temper and vengefulness are core features of autism, either.

It does seem that problems with emotional regulation are common in autistic people as is a tendency to ruminate on past events that could sometimes get close to vengefulness. Maybe foursticks perceives those aspects of himself as part of or closely related to his aspergers?
